A Sandberg Custom. I ordered it in April 2007, made in Germany. It is a fretted 4 string maple neck with a solid mahogany body finished in the most beautiful gloss quilted maple top I have ever seen. It has two soap bar pick ups, gold hardware, mother of pearl dots on the neck and a fantastic shaped contoured body.

The sounds is incredible. It has a warmth and punch that is seldon found in a mid price bass. It will go from a jazz like tone to a full deep growl with a simple turn of the pickup balance knob. The 3 band EQ is great....however the bass sounds so good thru my Phil Jones bass rig it needs NO Eq, the amp is run flat also. I have never found a tone so perfect with out adding tons of Bass and Treble.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The bass came ready to play, I asked my set up guy to give it a quick setup and he gave it back saying its perfect. Finish and fit is wonderful, again I have found no problems.

If your looking for a modern, fantastic looking AND sounding bass then order one today......it will take 4 months to arrive.....but it will be worth the wait.

I waited 4 months for the bass to arrive, I was gutted when I opened the case to find the WRONG neck had been built. I ordered a maple, it arrived with a rosewood. Sandberg hand built a new birds eye maple neck at no extra charge and sent a few free gifts. Cant get better than that.
