Features : 7
basswood body w/ flat black finish, and pearl bat inlays makes for a cool looking bass for those looking for a dark-goth style bass.emg p/ups sound tough. very slim neck. there is a double dip switch on the inside of the control cavity for tweaking the highs. I have had this for around 3 years of weekend gigging and no major issues. One set-up it plays great, usaly twice a years i give it a set up. Beware though, the bridge is a pain in the3 #*!. it would have been better off with a fender style one. you have no intonation length screw, so you have to wack it with a punch, and you better have ball end allen wrenches.really decent tuners too.

Sound : 8
sounds pretty well balance for most styles by tweaking the active eq.i play mostly loud hard to classic rock with a very hi-fi tone. it sounds great, with the highs rolled off to flat, for blues and country-very versitile.only thing its not good at is slap & pop stuff. just not so well designed for that. Hangs well on a strap, i preffer a padded one. very bright with the highs cranked. also sounds massive with my o/d pedal smokin!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
had a really nice finish and set upight outta the box. came w/ a plastic hard shell case, though it has actualy warped a little from leaning against the wall. like many basswood bodied guitars the strap peg screws will need to be replaced with longer ones pretty soon.

Reliability/Durability : 7
i covered alot of this previosly, but its been very reliable -and im pretty tough on an insturment! never take a back. Never missed a gig in over 3 years. Twice a year when the weather makes a big change (fall & spring) you will have to set it up, and due to the bridge, it gonna suck! the neck is a bit fussy, but it will come around.

Customer Support : 3
i called about the bridge issues, and got no where. they suggested an aftermarket bridge as the offered nothing. a few mounths later the dealer did a set up on their dime, schecter didnt. other than that its bullet-proof.

Overall Rating : 8
other than working around the bridge, i love this bass, and would own another in a minute! I played a neck through warwick thumb bass for many years, and obviosly the price difference makes comparing them stupid!! but i enjoy this every bit as much, and its way lighter on the shoulder and wallet. I doubt you can find another bass with this cool a vibe, the tone and features for this kinda money ($400).I own 3 schecters by the way.
