For what it is, and the price I paid for it... this is an awesome instrument. Passive PJ Seymore Duncans sound great, action is ok, would like it to be a little lower though... the stock tuners are kind of starting to lift out, but I've just ordered a Bad Ass II, sperzel tuners and a fat finger, so that should smooth out all the rough spots... But the simplicity of this bass is great great tone as well, can't wait to get my new Ampeg rig and see how much thunder I can actually crank out of her!!

Right now I'm just playing through a 100watt Marshall stack... Sounds decent, but I'm getting another Ampeg head soon... Really punchy tone though and I dig that since I play mostly punk style with a pick.

Like I said, action could have been a little lower, but I'm sure the Bad Ass II will make a small difference. The finish is nice too, transparent white/grey, you can see the wood grain.

I've been playing guitar for 8 years, I started picking up basses at Guitar Center a while ago and what can I say, I can't put em' down, I'm even more obsessed than I ever was with a regular guitar. I need the Thundah!! My next bass will probably be a Fender PJ standard, but until I can afford it, this will do fine!

Nothing fancy, just a good old fashioned Tele style bass with some modern upgrades. For what it is and what's it's supposed to be, it get a 10!!.

Warm, rich and full. The Duncan Design passive pickups are very good sounding and are very loud. They cut through a loud band situation with ease. The only real difference between this model and the newer one are that the newer versions have the EMG's which I'm sure are very nice as well and probably dead quite.

I'd dsas thids Korean made bass is a 8 outta 10. For the most part the construction is top notch. However their are a few small details that they either over looked or didn't feel they needed to fix.
The back of the neck is not sooth or consistent. It's a little rough here and there. The pickguard is not cut right. It's close, but not perfect as their is a slight gap between the plate that holds the volume and tone controls and the pickguard that surrounds it. I would have preferred the pickups to be mounted a little moe sturdy into the body. Again none of this stuff is deadly, but with a little more care they could have build a fantastic bass.

Should last forever as it's passive and build like a tank.

This model has the upgraded active electronics and emg pickups. Versatile tone and a great price. Plays well, looks great. They even placed the STP sticker on the back, very classy. This is my third bass and I'll be happy with this one for years to come.

Played nicely when it arrived. Everything seemed set-up alright. I'm sure when I take it to my set-up guy he'll make it play even better.
Very Nice Gold Finish!

I've already put a little ding in it so the finish may not be the most durable, the finish seems a little soft compared to my other guitars. Not a big deal, I just won't let my drunk friends play the thing.

I play for fun plus I use this for recording and it's worked out fine.
If I could get the same killer deal on this puppy I'd replace it in a second if it were stolen. I love the two different tones it has right out of the box (P & J) plus the variations when you combine pick-ups.
Overall one of the best deals I've gotten on an instrument.

2002 korean instrument modeled after a 50s P-bass with an extra J pickup in the neck position. Good passive Duncan Design pickups with a volume and concentric fade/tone knobs (to keep the P-bass 2-knob look). I personally prefer 2 volumes and a tone over the volume, tone, fade combo. Body is ash, neck and fingerboard are maple. Bridge is very substantial (not marked, presumably schecter). The other hardware is similarly impressively rugged. Came with allen wrenches for string height and truss rod (Accessable through the headstock like it should be!). The body contours feel a bit sharp to me.
The neck is very wide. A bit of a workout for the left hand, plenty of room for the right thumb and fingers to go to town.

:

This is a very solid sounding bass. The pickups are good and powerful with the extra J pickup giving a lot of presence and definition to the split coil which sounds a bit boomy on its own. As with all passive basses the tone knob sounds best all the way up; the fade knob allows for a good deal of flexibility with the tone after that (though the bass is noticeably quieter with the fader at the middle positions).
Action, Fit, & Finish

The glossy finish was smoothe but there was alarge scuff on the bottom bout. The frets were a little rough at the edges and not polished. The action was a little high, the neck a little too bowed, the pick-ups too low. The sticker reading "Set up by Schecter USA" made me giggle. Easy enough to set everything right, though. Action has a very pleasant spring to it.

This bass feels very solid. All it's hardware is top notch and its got a thick, beefy feel to it (without being terribly heavy). I've no fears about this bass.

I've been playing for 15 years, mostly Fenders. This bass doesn't fall far from the Fender tree. This bass slaps particularly well and the range of sounds are quite useable with no big surprises. The wide neck makes it somewhat less suitable for melodic soloing than it'd otherwise be. Hardware is much better and the sound more solid than on most of the cheaper basses out there. This is a good mid-range instrument, though I'd certainly look at others if I needed to replace it.

I JUST BOUGHT A BRAND NEW SCHECTER BASS AND MY INITIAL REACTION IS LIKE, "THIS THING IS THE SHIT!". I KNOW NOT WHERE IT WAS MADE, BUT I CAN TELL YOU IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT WITH SUPERB ACTION RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! I HAVNT EVEN HAD IT SET UP YET AND IT STILL PLAYS AND SOUNDS GREAT. IT IS GREAT FOR ALMOST ALL STYLES OF PLAY INCLUDING TAPPING AND SLAPPING AND POPPING. THE PICK UP CONFIGURATION IS A COMBO STYLR WITH ONE J PICKUP AT THE BRIDGE AND A SPLIT P PICKUP IN THE MIDDLE. THE SEYMOUR DUNCAN PICKUPS ARE AWSOME AND THE NECK IS JUST THE RIGHT WIDTH FOR EASE OF PALYING WITHOUT THE SACRAFICE OF A WARM TONE. THE BODY STYLE IS MUCH LIKE THE STANDARD FENDER PRECISION BASS ONLY THE PICKGUARD, WHICH EXTENDS ONTO THE FRONT HALF OF THE GUITAR, GIVES THE BASS A VERY "CLASSIC" LOOK WHICH IS RATHER UNLIKE ANYTHING IVE EVER SEEN BEFORE. ALL IN ALL, THIS BASS DOES THE JOB ALL AROUND. I LOVE IT AND I ALREADY WANT TO BUY ANOTHER FOR A BACK-UP!!!!!!!!!!

ACTION IS GREAT! I HAVE YET TO SET UP THE BASS BECAUSE I AM HAPPY WITH THE WAY IT IS! I PULLED IT OUT OF THE BOX, TUNED IT UP AND THEN DIDNT SET IT DOWN FOR HOURS! THE PICKUP ADJUSTMENT IS FINE BUT THE BASS DID COME WITH A TINY NICK JUST BELOW THE BACK STRAP NOTCH, BUT I ORDERED IT AS A SCRATCH AND NICK PRODUCT ANYWAY SO WHO REALLY CARES.

BEEN PLAYING 16 YEARS AND I THINK IVE FINALLY FOUND THE BASS FOR ME. I ALREADY WANT ANOTHER ONE FOR A BACKUP SO OF COURSE ID BUT ANOTHER ONE IF IT WAS STOLEN OR LOST. I PARTICULARILY LIKE THE NECK, THE TRANSPARENT WHITE FINISH(VERY UNIQUE), AND THE countless warm tones that the bass has. WHAT DO I HATE ABOUT IT? THATS EASY..... NOTHING!!!! HA HA! IT BLASTS MY FENDER (MEXICAN ) JAZZ OUT OF THE WATER. THERES NO COMPARISIN THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! GET ONE AND YOULL SEE, ID OF PAID ALOT MORE FOR THIS, BUT I WAS LUCKY TO FIND ONE THAT WAS SCRATCH AND DENT PRICED. ALL I CAN REALLY SAY IS THAT IVE FIND MY SOUL MATE IN AN INSTRUMENT. I LOVE IT!

I'm not sure where or when this was made as I bought it used. It has 22 frets and a 34" scale. It has a solid ash body with a Transparent White finish, which is flawless, and a black pick guard. The body shape, pick guard, and knobs look almost exactly like a '53 P-bass. It has 2 control knobs, one master volume and a stacked, double tone knob. It also has a P/J passive pick-up array that says "Duncan Design." The neck is bolt on rock maple with a satin finish and a rosewood fretboard. I'm not sure what this style of bridge is called, it looks pretty standard, but it is very beefy. The tuners are standard and it came with a free case which I assume was the previous owner's.

:

Since it has the P and J pick-ups, you can get a wide scope of tone just by adjusting the knobs on the guitar. I use it with an Ampeg BA-115 combo amp without any effects (yet). The pick-ups are quite silent unless you crank both tone knobs up, then there is some hiss, but nothing out of the ordinary. You can get pop from this beast or growl. I play old school punk and rock, so I tend to back off the tone and let it rumble. Although I've never played live, I'm sure this would be safe to use on stage. It is rock solid.

Since it was used, the set up was a bit high for my taste. Easily correctable. The pick-ups seemed to be adjusted fine. I really couldn't find any flaws on this guitar. Not a single scratch or lacquer drip anywhere to be found. The previous owner either didn't own it long or it sat in the corner for show. I was really impressed with the manufacturing quality. Everything was just REALLY solid.

I've only been playing seriously about a year. I bought my old bass which was a Lotus P-bass in high school and naturally grew disinterested and threw it in the corner. I sold the Lotus to a friend of mine after college, and he ended up just giving it back to me about a year ago because it was cluttering up his attic. The Schecter bass is my second and it blows the Lotus away in every category, as just about anything would. But, I've handled higher end Fender basses in stores and this is right up there. I chose it for the looks, sound, and solid construction. This is something I'll have for a long time. The only thing I don't like is there aren't separate volume knobs for each pick up. Even though I haven't owned many basses or been playing ong, I know quality when I see it. If it were stolen and I could get one at that price again I'd definitely buy another one.

I'm not exactly sure about the year this particular one was made but I think they started makin this model in 99..it's made in korea i think, but it might be american. Its got about 22 frets i think, and its a 4 string. It's got a really nice sound, since it has Seymour Duncan pickups..It's got 2 humbuckers and a J w/ 2 tone controls, and a volume. The finish is 3 tone sunburst and in the middle is transparent a bit.

This suites me quite well, seeing I play mostly rock like Stone Temple Pilots *Rob DeLeo is their bassist*, and Alice in Chains. I use this on a Zoom BFX708 unit that's run through a Crate BFx50. It has really no noise, it's quite silent. It's got the sweetest sound, I can't even describe. It's got the Robert Deleo sound, but when plugged into my BFX 708, and change the tone to a cabinet type sound, I get a Mike Starr from Alice In Chains sound..like on would..I just love everything about this.

I love this bass, and it's excellent, if it were stolent or lost id definitly buy another..I love its sound on it, it sounds perfect for me. I compared this over a Spector NS2002b, but the spector didn't give me the sound i liked..I reccomend a person who loves to play rock, or even soft mellow things, to buy this!

It's a U.S. made wonder bass with duncan designed p-bass and Jazz pickups mine has the 3 tone sunburst finish maple neck and stacked jazz pickup volume/all-over tone control and singular p-bass volume.
the only reason i didn't rate it a 10 is next to the 10 it says tons of features and this is a simple yet not totally stripped down bass which i LOVE

I play hard rock and Metal.
So I need a full bass tone to cover the bottom end of the band.
I play through a Digitech Rp2000 into a Frankenstein Ampeg/qtube 70 amp. I get the best tone i've EVER had from this set-up especially from this bass.
I get NICE bass from my p-bass pick-ups, and killer popping mids and highs from the Jazz pick-ups.

Set up by those master luthiers at schecter here in the USA.
They set this bass up beautifully nice tight action, great tuners easily tuneable and easy to drop from E to Dropped D.
No Fret Noise, very little pick-up noise.
the only complaint is i can't find a EXACT picture of the one i have online. I have one with a unusually plain Schecter logo and Diamond series logo.
But as for the bass itself KILLER

I have been a bassist since age 14 and I am now 21.
I have owned about 15 basses however sometimes i get struck by stupidity sell, or trade my mans instrument(the Bass)For a guitar.
So this right now is my only bass in my possetion.
If it where stolen I would swiftly kick the poor S.O.B. in the nuts, grab my bass back gently lay it down and then slaughter the guy.
