Fairly standard bass with 21 fet rosewood fretboard on a bolt on 34" scale maple neck and a body with a tele bass like shape. A P&J pickup setup. Mine is modded with EMG P5J pickups. I think it came standard with Duncan Designs. it has 2V and 1T control. I would prefer to have a 3 way switch. The finish is nice and the neck pocket is tight. You cant adjust the truss rod without removing the neck though. The tuners look like quality Gotoh pegs but I found out they are cheap crap when one failed.

The sound is nice but not very veritile. There is a bit of volume drop off on the low B. I play ith mostly through an old Acoustic Contol 122 which has pleanty of low end so it is not the amp. It is very quite (with the pickup replacement) and would be suitable for studio work.

I got this one used so I cant't talk about factory set up. However the bridge slot is not long enough to properly intonate the low B even with very low relief on the neck and a low action.
The finish is nicely done and is tougher than most at resisting scratches and dings.

As mentionded above I had a tuning peg fail and found it to be a cheap knock off of a Gotoh rather than a real one. Gotah pegs are not expensive enough to justify this. . Unfortunatly the hole in the peg head is to small to fit a Gotoh or other quility sealed peg that I can find.

I have not dealt with them. The Schecter web site is fairly basic but does have some information.

I have been playing for 30 years. This is my first, and probabably last Schecter. My main bass is an early 80's Aria Pro II RSB Deluxe. It blows this one away in quality and sound.
The wood work is very solid and the neck has a nice feel. Given that I got it cheap I should not complain too much. I will try upgrading the hardware and see how it goes.
I would not replace this bass if it were stolen.

This bass was made around 2001 or 2002. Ash Body. Not as heavy as when
the first all new (April 2000) Robert DeLeo Model-T's came out. Not
as bad on your shoulders. Solid Top. Neck is Maple and Fingerboard is
Maple. I have 3-Knobs (VOLUME,TONE,FADE) The Pickup configuration:P/J
It sounds great with the extra J Pickup. The sound is really open with
the Duncan Design Pickups. YEA!!!!! The Finish is 3-Tone Sunburst.
This is the most nicest sunburst finish I've seen in a long time!!
The paint is a little soft, so I half to try to be careful with it.
This style is similar to the pricision or "P" Bass. O Yeah, This
bass has 21 Frets!!!!!!! This bass is the stuff. I want to get
another Model-T later. Schecter Basses are great!!!!!!!
I have a gigbage and A 100 Watt Peavey Amp. It sounds great!!

I play Drums, and Piano, and a little Oregon too,. I play to
Country, Some Rock, all kinds of Gospel Music, and I play a little
of every kind of music.
Playing wise to my style, I play really Busy, and really un busy,
and this bass fits my needs for sounds. It really flows, and a very
rich sound. I put some S.I.T. Silencer Strings on there, and I think
with the Combonation with the strings, and Duncan Des. Pickups, there
is an echoing sound. It's like your on stage and your really not.
Sounds really good!!

There was no flaws in the finish, or no shorts, or no rust when
I got it. But there's one thing, the 4th String buzzes a little bit,
but you can't here it through my Peavey Amp. It's not a really big
deal, but I think everything should be perfect.

I think this bass will last a long time. It's very well made.
The hardware is strong, and the finish seems to last. Strap buttons
are solid. Very well set up bass Impressive!!!!!!!!!!

I've been playing bass for over two and a half years. I also own
a 1965 Ludwig Blue Oyster Pearl Vintage Drumset. (2 TOM AND FLOOR TOM
Classic Drumset Style. I added Roto Toms, Crash, Splash, Ride with
it. This Drumset don't look like a 1965 Model. The Other guy that
had it, took care of it really well! If I told you it was a 1965
Drumset, you wouldn't believe me.
I also own a Yamaha 88 key Electronic Digital Piano.

I believe this bass was made around early 2001. This bass was made in
Korea. It has 21 Frets. My Bass is a Model-T 5 with 5 Strings Ofcourse! I have a solid top, Very Smooth. I have three Volume
Knobs. This is a newer version of the Model-T 5, Right before they
started putting Rosewood on all of the Schecter Model-5's. My pickups
are set like the P/J Version. The Model of my pickups are DUNCAN
DESIGNED - the best!! It has Active Electronics with Ash Body and with Maple Neck and a Maple Fingerboard. The Finish is 3-Tone Sunburst!! It's A very nice looking Finsh, Especially the 3-Tone Sunburst on the back.
The Body style is like the old "T" Bass, or sort of like the
Telecaster. The Bridge is Diamond Bass. The Neck is "34" Scale.

This bass is perfect for my kind of playing. I play Contemperary
Gospel and Some Rock. I'm developing a style like Robert DeLeo. I'm Using a Peavey 100 Watt Amp. It is perfect for my kind of bass. My bass has a very rich sound and does sound like Robert DeLeo's bass sounds in the 1994 Album "Purple"
He used his Schecter Diamond Series Signature Model-T four string
with the same finish as mine: 3-Tone Sunburst/Maple Fingerboard.

The Factory set my bass up just right. The pickups were ajusted very
well. Everything was so well made. The finish was perfect. Nothing
was wrong with the finish or the wood.

I think this bass will last a long time if I take care of it. I haven't had it long enough to know how long the hardware will last. The strap buttons are perfect. I can always depend on the
Schecter Diamond Series Robert DeLeo Signature Model-T 5 String.
I believe my truss rod might need to be
adjusted a little bit. But this bass is awsome. I've never seen a bass
that is so well made like this bass. I don't need a backup for this
bass. This bass is the stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been playing bass for 3 years. I play the drums and Piano also.
I play these things the best! I play for a worship team at Skyview.
I own a 1965 Blue Oyster Pearl Vintage Drumset. Not a scratch on it.
This is kind of the same drumset the Beatles used. I own a Yamaha
Electric Digital 88 Key Piano. If this thing were stolen or lost,
I would get another Model-T. The best thing I like about this bass is
the Finish. 3-Tone Sunburst

2001, made in Korea, 21 jumbo frets, 5-strings. One volume and one concentric tone control. P pu at neck (mid) and J pu at bridge. PU's are "Duncan Design"...Seymour Duncan copies. Body is ash (Yeah!) neck is maple and fretboard is rosewood. Transparent white finish..clear coated...very nice to look at. P body style and Telecaster type pickguard, control guard. Big, beefy bridge...very solid. Tuners are Schecter Diamond tuners. Neck is similar to a P in depth, but the width is narrower than a Fender 5-string. Very comfortable and fast. 34" scale. I've found Fender 5-strings almost impossible to play because the neck width is so great. This neck width is perfect! No accessories just a really well made, great playing and sounding bass.

My sound is Metal, Southern Rock, heavy music in general. This bass is completely perfect for that style. I use a flanger (set up kinda like a chorus) and I run it through a Hartke 350 head through a Carvin 18" and a Peavey 2 by 10". It's not noisy at all. The sound is typical of a P with the added snap of a J. I'm very fond of single coil sound and this is a rich deep bass sound with enough snap on top to cut through with out overpowering. Don't get me wrong...you could get a really bright sound if you wanted with the right amp, but why would you? Check out STP and you'll hear what this bass sounds like. It was designed by STP's bassist, Robert DeLeo. I have not monkeyed with the controls enough to find out what the range of sound is like. I stick with one setting (everything full on!) and I adjust my sound through my amp EQ so I can't really comment on the variety of sound. I have not used it yet on stage and I don't see any problems. I will record with it.

This came from the factory (Schecter) set up PERFECT! I couldn't beleive it! I've always had to make major adjustments on any bass I've ever purchased because no one sets a bass up the way I like it. This came with super low action and NO fret buzz! I'm very happy with it. The pickups were adjusted just fine. The only flaw I've been able to find so far is the concentric control....the top control rubs a little against the bottom. This is not a problem...just a matter of me readjusting it. Because of this I can't give it a 10.

This bass is very light, but very solid...will withstand plenty of live, beer throwing gigs. Hardware seems very solid. Finish seems very solid. Strap buttons are solid. Haven't had to adjust the truss rod because the neck is perfectly flat! I would definitely use it without a backup. I can't beleive I got this kind of quality out of a Korean made bass that sold for $530.00!!! Money very well spent!

I've been playing for 12 years and have owned many basses. Aside from my old Rickenbacker this Schecter is probably the best. Killer looks, killer sound...what more can you ask for. If it were lost or stolen I would definitely get another. I love everything about it except for the white pickguard that came with it....advertised w/a black pickguard that looked great. The white one washes it out a little....I'll replace it w/a black one. My favorite feature would be the feel of the neck. I don't like 35" 5-strings at all. This 34" scale and neck dimensions ROCK! Very fast playing neck. I chose this bass based on it's history (STP bassist designed) and it's looks. I'm extremely happy with the whole package! Very solid, but surprisingly light (ash) bass with the classic P / Telecaster look.
