neck-through 3 band active 18v eq. Volume and pick-up mix dial. Satin finish

Sound : 10
Sounds dark or bright or in-between. The active pick-ups are responsive. I play many styles and mix it up during the sets I play. If something doesn't sound quite right, I can fix it quickly and easily on my bass. I run a very basic rig and rarely have to adjust it, my bass takes care of any tone changes needed.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
made in Korea and set up in the US. My bass is evidence that someone actually checked it over before shipping it out. It has the fit and finish of basses many times more expensive.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Solid so far. I have a back-up but usually don't bring it now that I've had no problems for 14 months with this bass.

Customer Support : No Opinion
It hasn't come up.

Overall Rating : 10
Great value. Priced very competitively for the fit and finish and fine features. The price has gone up for the same bass since I purchased this one but it is still a great value. I would buy another like this and plan on owning a Schecter guitar in the near future.

Active pickups with 3 tone blend allows you to dial in your preferred sound nicely. I was suprised at how light it was for weight. Didn't drag on your shoulder and ache after 2-3 hours of playing. Neck was nice and slim. All around great design and sound for the price!

Sound : 10
I was extremely impressed with the sound. I play heavy/thrash metal and plugged this into my Ampeg SVT-4pro..and just melted. I was able to dial in the sound I always searched for. Depending on your taste, I love the deep rumbling low end, with bright tinty mids & highs. For those who listen to metal, if you know who Overkill's D.D. Verni is...then that's the sound I damn near nailed...and was looking for.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
When I got the bass, the action seemed extremely low. There was alot of string buzz from rubbing on the higher frets.
Everything else was good.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Finish was better than expected. I wear wristbands when I play...just because I am afraid to get any moisture on the top. Not sure how it would hold up. (Yes I am babying the thing).

I get lots of compliments on the Hardware color. It looks at seems pretty tough. I think the construction of the bass will withstand alot of abuse before anything fails.

Haven't had to use it yet.

Overall Rating : 9
Been playing for over 20 years and am finally satisfied with a Bass that fits me and my style. I've owned & played alot of Fender's, Ibanez's, B.C. Rich's, Jackson's....but this has been the Best of them all by far.

An absolute steal for the price!

I really liked everything on the bass, namely the neck-thru body and active pickups. Tone blend knobs are excellent for dialing in sounds. A knob to turn off the active preamp would have been nice. The neck was super-sleek and very playable. I felt very comfortable playing this bass.

Sound : 9
The sound is definitely intended for a target audience. It has a very modern, bold sound. Sounds good being played in any style besides very low-volume jazz. The pickups get alot of the percussive sounds off the neck but that's what I desire in a bass. I would recommend using it in mostly studio situations due to the richness of the sound. Very bright sound with a pick. When set to the neck pickup, it tends to distort a little but that may also be a flaw with my budget amp. I play metal/progressive-rock/funk and it seems to really stand out in these areas.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The finish was EXCELLENT. Pictures don't do it justice. I have the see-thru black satin and it is absolutely gorgeous. The factory setup was right on and the pickups were set nice and evenly. The only thing I have had to do was tighten a tuning peg, no big.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Well, I've only had it for a few days but it seems like an extremely durable bass. I have a warick corvette and I think this one EASILY holds a candle to it. I would use this live, touring, recording ect ect.

I really like this bass. I think any other bass player would agree. If you want a sleek looking, bold sounding bass (you p-bass fans are outta luck), this is the one for you. Especially for 600 bucks! I mean, come on, it's a neck thru bass!

has a 3 way tone control, but in my opinion dosent make much of a difference. excellent looking bass, fantastic neck.

Sound : 6
heres where the problem is, unless you have a mega wattage head this will not sound good as it is a very low sounding bass. it sounds good but just too low. instead of emg it should have duncans or something similar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
finish is great, the bubinga is beautiful, and the neck plays like a dream.

Reliability/Durability : 7
very soft wood will damage easily. havent had a breakdown yet

Overall Rating : 7
i give it a 8 cause if you by this bass and put different pick ups on it it would be a 10 in my book, but as it comes its a 7

Excellent control of bass tone. I could talk about each control, pickups ... etc. but you should read it on Schecters web site. Nice sounding active pickups. Its an 8 because "Tones of features" or a 10 here, in MHO, would imply something like a synthesizer output or similar. But the controls allow a wide variety of bass tones from slap to deep bass.

Sound : 10
Yes, it sounds great. Remember to plug thru a decent amp. Again the bass controls have a very wide range of tone control.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The construction of this bass, IMHO, exceeds those of equivelent first tier brands like Fender and Gibson for the price. Beautiful finish and neck-thru construction. The high rating is also due to the more affordable price than say a $1200 Fender or $1500 Music Man. The construction and detail appear just as good as those.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Only had it for 2 months but so far so good.

Havn't had to call them.

Overall Rating : 9
I give it a 9. Not sure what the perfect Bass would be for a 10. HC rates a 10 as a "Fantastic Value" a reative term. But looking at and trying other Basses, the construction and tone made me select it over more expensive "name brands". A 10 would be the perfect bass, you tell me what that is.
