As far as I could find, Stagg is producing it's guitars somewhere in Holland. Might be wrong here, the Internet is pretty quiet about that company...
It has 24 frets, 5 strings, it's solid top, has three controls: volume for each pickup and a common tone, all working ok. Passive electronics, two single coil bar pick-ups with cheap plastic covers, three point adjustable, in classic Jazz Bass configuration, with good output but a bit noisy (as expected from single coils). Solid alder body, hard maple neck, bolt-on, 34" scale.
I got it second hand, so no accessories were available (strings were new, tho... :) )

Sound : 9
It's very versatile sound-vise, and I play anything from heavy to jazz. I don't have a specific line on witch I use it, I have tried it on a Warwick ProFet 5.1 and a 6x10 Warwick cab on stage on one occasion and it really blew me away. Sounded way better than a Jackson, a cheap Fender and a Cort, on the same gear.
It has a rather bright sound, but lots of bottom if you really put your hart on it. :) With a pick, it can pass as a Rickenbacker to a blind and semi-deaf bass player. Played with fingers, can have a jazzy feel to it, but also can satisfy slap-bass requirements with ease. I am quite happy with it and I don't think I'll need another one (except for a original Rick or an american made Fender Jazz Bass 5 stringer). It can be a bit murky in a mix, but with the right set of strings (I use Warwick Stainless Steel Strings on it), it really cuts through.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
From the start, it came perfectly set-up. Medium action, good for slap, but high enough to have just the right amount of fret buzz to give it a harsh sound. Lately, through, probably due some mishap, one fret started to buzz, but it's easy to fix, I just didn't got around to do it yet.

Good finish, although rather sensible; I have chipped the finish here and there due to bad handling and hitting some sharp objects, but it's surviving just fine and except for a slightly defective key (fixed easily), the bass is functioning well. The nut is a bit flimsy, I understood from others experience, but with enough care it can outlast the bass... :)

Reliability/Durability : 10
I have played live on several occasions and it is very sturdy; well, I am careful enough not to smash it on the ground (not my style). It stays in tune no matter what (I came to rehearsals and never need to adjust the tuning, regardless of cold/hot weather or how crowded is the bus - I do not have a car yet :), strap buttons looks and feels solid... I adjusted only once the neck rod and I have it for more than 3 years now. I trust it enough to not need a backup instrument.

Second hand, so no warranty, not that I ever needed one.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
As I said, I have played it for about 3 years and more, and I have about 14 years of experience playing bass guitar. My last guitar was a decent copy of a Les Paul Bass Guitar made by Reghin, a romanian company, and it served me quite well, but using the Stagg really improved my playing skills (this bass is faster, more precise, more unforgiving and has one string extra, so my entire bass playing needed to be revised when I bought it - it was a steep learning curve, but a very pleasant one).
I really love the C shape neck, very thin and very comfortable, and also allowing very quick playing.
