This bass was badged up as "Eastcoast", but on the box it said Stagg MB300, plus its same as Stagg website, except a different name on headstock.
21 fret 4 string bass.
One passive humbucker (huge)
Maple neck, alder body.
Finished in gloss black with black scratchplate.
Musicman Stingray shaped body. Came with one very cheap looking lead.

This bass is great for slapping, when i tested it in the guitar store i was shocked just how good it was for the price.
I'm using a no-name 25w bass amp and a Zoom 606 effects pedal (i set up EQ/amp modeling on it).
Very little noise, great sustain.

The setup was very good, action was just right for me. They even put some decent sounding strings on it !
I couldn't find any flaws with this guitar, with the finish, the setup.... not a thing.

I don't play live, but i'd say yes (after studio session).
The hardware is very chunky (especially the machine heads) and i'd be very confident with it.
I would probably gig (even though i don't..) without a backup, since I feel this is a quality instrument.

I;ve been playing bass about a year now (guitar 18 months).
If this were lost, i'd probably save up to get a proper Musicman, since I love the style and shape of this bass, and would like a real one :D
My favourite thing about this bass is the ease of playing, I can play anything really easily, almost without looking on this bass.
I compared this bass to a Squier Jazz Bass, and found that the Squier wasn't as good (plus more expensive)
