Made in 2004 by Tommy and wonderful the folks at USA Custom Guitars in Tacoma WA. A hollow body bass with one f-hole, rib and forearm contour and truss rod access rout. Body is a beautiful medium ash and the grain in the lamtop matches up perfect with the grain in the body. Tommy has a picture of the body and the completed bass on his web site usacustomguitars.com. Controls are front mount 4 hole, pre-drilled holes for Leo Quan bridge and J-bass pickup routs. Fretless neck made out of Pau Ferro, no fret lines, slight rolled edge with a 7.25 radius.
Sound

The tone of the wood gives the bass a great sound and tone. I?m using DiMarzio model J pickups and playing through a SRW 4004 head with 1-15 Son of Bertha and 2-10 Goliath Jr. Play everything from old standards, jazz to R&B and rock. This bass covers all the bases.
Action, Fit, & Finish

I assembled and set up the bass and the neck. Body was finished by Lee at GMW Guitars. Check out his work at gmwguitars.com, great prices and beautiful work. The weight is nicely proportioned and not neck heavy. The moment I played the bass it felt like an old friend.
Reliability/Durability

I?ve used the bass on 5 jobs and 6 rehearsals and have had no problems. The neck is solid and stays in tune nicely. It has taken the place of my other fretless J-Bass.
