Bought used - age unknown (5-10 years?). Made in Japan. Maple neck. Body wood unknown, but nice weight and grain. Transparent red finish. Fender Precision style neck and body, similar to Yamaha BB300. Tone and volume control. One split P bass pickup (passive). Bridge, pickup and knobs also look like Yamaha BB300 equipment, although they are obviously stock to the Vantage.

Sounds great unamplified. Through my amp (Fender BXR 200) the stock pickups seem weak and thin. With some decent after-market P-bass replacements, this will be a great bass.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Nicks and scrapes consistent with an instrument of this age. Controls and tuners are still solid. Action is great.

This bass is as indestructable as instruments get. It's lived a hard life already and doesn't have many scars. If it wasn't fretless, this could be my one and only bass.

No clue. Just try finding a trace of them on the net. Obviously not a big company.

Been playing about 14 months. I also own a Soundgear SR406, an Epiphone Viola and an Ovation Celebrity bass. This bass is my first attempt at a fretless and was such an amazing bargain. I'd like to replace the pickups and perhaps refinish the body, but overall it's a solid instrument with great sound, even without an amp.
