Nice thumb rest! The package I got was a gig bag, Univox whopping 20 watt amp (booh-yah!) and Vantage bass, model # unknown.

I like the metallic tone to it. With the tone button you can range it from more of a deeper bassy metal to a higher old fashioned sound. I use both a 20 watt (practice) and 300 (performing)... and enjoy both sounds, though the deeper is better with the 300 watt.

It's got very little action going on and I love it! The only thing wrong with the appearance is a pinkish scratch near the pick ups... but I think it may have been my fault :p

This thing's not going to die for some time. It's withstood minor road trips, several live performances, cold weather, a bit of bashing... if it was alive, it'd be suffering from a permanent concussion...
The only problem is the nut around where you plug the patch in... can't keep it tight.

This is actually my first bass... I've been playing for about six months now... and I prefer it to the Fender Precisision, a Yamaha and an Ibanez.
It was bought on a whim... I decided to give up guitar and take up bass... and it's been a great decision. I love everything about it, it's easy to play (as compared to other basses)... only thing I don't love is it's weight... but that can be helped with a wider strap.
It's a great starter bass... I haven't played any of their others... but I haven't heard anything nice about them either.
This one is great...
