The absolute best instrument(I'm not sure if you could call it just a "bass") I've ever seen/had/used/dreamed of..... The thing has five courses of three strings in the familiar BEADG layout, so essentially, when you hit one note, three strings ring out: one fundamental bass note, and two drone octaves. The power of this instrument is indescribable. A description: it has a two octave fret board, which has the most unique "dash" position markers, on a maple board, neck through design, flame maple neck, and a flame maple top. Single Bartolini MM style pickup, AND a piezo under the saddle. It has a switchable active passive master volume, blend between magnetic/piezo, and three band eq for the magnetic (I found it sounds best with the eq flat). the bridge in question is a carved acoustic non adjustable style with a brass saddle. the spacing is perfect!!!!!!! There's actually enough room to slap if one were so inclined!!! usually like on the Hamer twelve string, the spacing is so tight you must use a pick, but the Warrior seems to see that most players these days are finger style, and gave us plenty of room to get our fingers in there. The instrument is alot more versitile than I first suspected, it works great in rock obviously, but if you know what your doing, you can play it in funk contexts( think Stevie Wonders' 70s synth sounds) or tic-tac country lines, or in new age celtic settings, really just about anything you can think of if you have imagination.

Because of the dual systems, the sound ranges from low thumpy rumble, to bright trebly rock, with everything in between. The only concern I have is the non- adjustable bridge, when I got the bass, the action was a little high, (5/64 from bottom of string to top of 24th fret) and I panicked because I couldn't lower the action at the bridge. How ever, I noticed some considerable relief on the neck (which is lightning fast, and very thin- think Ibanez Jem guitars), and after tightening the truss rods (there are two), the action was right where I wanted it (3/64) now the thing plays effortlessly

Again, because of the relief in the neck, the action was not perfect out of the box, but with that much string tension, it's understandable that it might need periodic adjustments. No visible flaws were evident- especially in the lamination scheme- Warrior seem to take extra time to line up the grain in their boards before they glue them together- the neck was perfectly quartersawn on all three pieces!!!!!

This bass seems to be able to withstand ( and create) nuclear holocaust!!!! nothing feels this solid without graphite- it must have something to do with the grain All the hardware seems to be meticulously mounted, and all screws are tight. However, for any one who is thinking about getting a Warrior, DON'T LOSE THE TRUSS ROD WRENCH THEY SEND WITH THE BASS!!!!! The wierd looking wrench is the only thing that will fit into the adjustment slotts at the base of the neck, if you loose the wrench, you will have to get another one from the company if you don't have a machinist friend nearby.

About that wrench, I'm sure they'll send you one FOC, and even overnight it if your in a crunch. The bass has a lifetime warranty to the origional owner, though I don't see ever needing to use it
