This bass is a pro rate beast its got everything. Its Got the Looks with the swamp ash body and koa top, the pearl fisheye inlays and the W's on the 12th and 24th fret just make it look even more unique.
I have always loves the corvette body style and when they came out with this ltd edition fna jazzman in 2004 I had to have it.

Sound : 10
This baby has got more growl than a pitbull on steroids. I play hard rock and this bass can split through the mix amazingly. It has a ton of tone options with 2 pull nobs on the High and Mid,and 3 band EQ with a active/passive pull option on the volume nob. I have 2 basses I use on shows and I always get mad comments on the sound of this bass compared to my Ibanez which is ok, but not near the volume or great tone capabilities of my fna jazzman ltd 2004. Almost every show I play I get asked by someone what kind of bass is that.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Excellent Built very sturdy

Reliability/Durability : 10
I jump around alot of stage and its taken a few bumps into equipment, band members, and has been bounced around seriously and still plays great. The strap locks on this are the main reason I have the ability to move around so much. I can't move around as much with my other basses because I worry too much about the strap falling off. it has happened with my ibanez, but the Warwick fna jazzman ltd 2004 I have no worries just pure confidence.

Customer Support : 10
I Have never had to use customer support yet, but I hear its one of the best.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing bass for 7 years now and own a mesa boogie M-pulse 360. I love the combo of these two great sounds I think is=ts the best I have heard. I played it on a peavey and a SWR set-up at a music shop before I bought it and then when I bought it and played it on my Mesa it sounded even better. I would definitly buy another one if this one got stolen or lost. I tried a few other basses before I decided on the warwick fna jazzman ltd 2004. First I tried an Ibanez Soundgear to see if the newer ones sounded better than my older version, It did but not much. I also tried a Peavey which I was impressed with and considered buying, but after I played the Warwick there was no way I could go back to anything less.

The previous reviewer outlined the features, I'll just add that the instrument looks, feels and plays so gorgeous that at the end of a business trip I went to a Guitar Center to try a Gibson SG, this baby caught my eye and after trying it with an Ampeg amp I almost ended up buying it on impulse. Back in Japan, where I live, I kept kicking myself in the butt for not doing so, as I figured out that a LTD edition would be difficult to find again and that in Japan they would charge me twice as much for it. Fortunately I was wrong. The bass was obviously designed with user friendliness in mind, from the ergonometrics standpoint, orientation of tuning pegs, easy adjust of nut height, easy access of truss rod, etc, etc. The only thing in my wishlist that was missing was a hard case, but the soft one I got is actually excellent, very well designed, well padded and solid, so much that it weights almost as much as the bass itself!!! I got a certificate stating that only 250 were made, mine was 3 out of a 73 run. The bass is hand-signed with a sharpie on the back of the headstock by Hans Peter-Wilfer, together with a 3/073 serial inscription.

Sound : 10
The "unplugged" acoustics of the instrument, just purely from the materials used is fantastic, a very bright sound. Another characteristics that caught my attention is how sweet the harmonics sound, also the artificial ones. It just builds up from there. It is a very versatile instrument and I am not even midway of exploring its capabilities (hey, I have 2 toddlers at home, give me some time). I tried it twice with different solid-state Ampeg set-ups, one of them involving SWR speakers, and I found the sound to be both warm and rich. Unfortunately I don't have a quality amp at home for further exploration, but I am working on it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action was just right, but looked a tad on the low side, so I worried about fret buzz. But the neck won't give away at all, it feels stable and solid as a rock no matter how I pulse, slap or pluck. No flaws at all, the bass is a piece of art and exhudes quality.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It is a well built bass, the neck, particularly, looks like it will last forever. The finish on the body seems durable, it is satin and designed not to require waxing. The bass in general, and the body in particular is such a beauty that I worry too much about the cosmetics, so it is unlikely that it will ever see much wear as long as I live.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I hope that I won't ever need customer support, but I keep hearing good things about them. But the best customer support is not having to rely on it.

Overall Rating : 10
It's my third bass, the other one I presently own is a Korean-made Washburn RB2000 Bantam, so it is a big quality jump for me. The Washburn sounds dull and the neck looks thin and unstable in comparison, although it is not a bad bass and in particular I think that is has a great neck for the price (the body is less impressive). It's just that the Warwick is so much better. The Warwick has also a slightly shorter scale, that is noticeable on the stretch of you fingers when you want to reach those low sounds. I consider myself a hobbyst, started playing bass over 20 years ago, with a hiatus of over 10 years where I sold my old instrument (a Fender J copy) and bought an electric guitar (my other instrument, I own a Washburn now). If it was stolen, I would try to replace it, but it might be difficult, then I'd try to buy another Warwick special (the new 2005 looks nice) or a throughneck. When the LTD caught my eye, I decided to compare it against other brands, since I always loved the sound and looks of a Rick 4003 or a MusicMan StingRay. The StingRay impressed me but for the same price the Warwick wins hands down.

This is a review for my limited edition Corvette FNA Jazzman 2004. It has ovankol neck, ebony fingerboard with special inlays, ash body plus koa top. The bass looks stunning and majestic, The 24 fret neck is sink smooth. The bass has an active J/MM pickup configuration augmented with 3 way eq. Only 80 of these were made. The bass came with the proof of authenticity plus usal Warwick goodies.

Sound : 10
Currently, the bass is strung with GHS pressure wound medium light. The neck J pickup sounds similar to the modern Fender J neck pickup. When the bridge MM pickup is split and used with the neck J pickup, you get a Jazz bass on steroid. The tone is punchy and clear with lots of growl.

Now, let us use the MM pickup as a humbucker. If you use it alone, you'll get deep, biting tone a la Edwards or Flee. If you mix the MM with the neck J, you'll get "P-bass from Hell" tones.

I have NOT used the on-board 3 way EQ a lot because just mixing those pickups and splitting the MM gives me tons of different sounds. When I take advantage of the EQ system, the bass will have even more tones!

What's more impressive is that the bass still sounds "woody" regardless of a specific tone that I use. Also, the bass is absolutely silent.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The bass arrived perfect. I cannot fault anything about this bass. Germans know how to build!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Like every other Warwick, this bass is built like a tank.

Customer Support : 10
Warwick has the best customer support in the business. They'll send you parts for free!

Overall Rating : 10
I've owned and own two Fender American Deluxe J's, a Warwick Corvette Standard, an Ibanez Prestige, a Pedulla MVP, plus several other less expensive ones. The Corvette FNA Jazzman 2004 LTD is by far the best bass in terms of tones and playability.
