MY NAME IS MARK MCDONALD. I OWN AND HAVE PLAYED MY 5 STRING WARWICK CORVETTE PROLINE ALL AROUND CENTRAL AND SE TEXAS. MY WARWICK IS A 1994 MODEL AND HAS A 24 FRET 7 PIECE BOLT ON NECK. THE BODY IS MADE FROOM TWO MATCHED PIECES OF UNFINISHED FLAMED MAPLE. IT CAME WITH TWO ACTIVE JAZZ SEYMOUR DUNCANS IN IT. I GOT IT CHEAP AND IN TIP TOP SHAPE FROM GREAT SOUTHERN MUSIC IN HOUSTON. I FOUND THE THING ON CONSIGNMENT AND FROM THE PADDLE HEADSTOCK TO THE TWO PIECE BRIDGE IVE BEEN SATISFIED. i LOVE THE LOOK OF THE UNFINISHED WOOD.

Sound : 7
I HAVE USED THIS BASS WORKING WITH MY HIGH SCHOOL JAZZ BAND, TOURING WITH A LATIN ROCK BAND, PUNK, FUNK, ROCK, REGGAE, BLUES, HEAVY, AND LATELY EVEN COUNTRY. tHE HARDEST TONE TO GET OUT OF THIS BASS FOR ME WAS THAT R AND B FUNK BRIGHT AND LOUD SLAP AND POP THING. MY HANDS CAN DO IT BUT IT JUST HAS SOUNDED BETTER ON OTHER BASSES. IF THIS IS YOUR THING GET THE MODULUS. AFTER JUST FINALLY BUYING ONE I FEEL LIKE RECOMENDING THE MODULUS FOR EVERY STYLE AND EVERYONE. BUT YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE WARWICK! JUST ALWAYS KEEP FRESH STRINGS ON IT IF YOUR AFTER THAT FUNK SLAP POP THING.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
i BOUGHT IT SECOND HAND SO I CANT COMMENT ON THE FACTORY SETUP. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT KEN PERRY SET MINE UP AT CREAT SOUTHEN MUSIC.
nO FACTORY FLAWS BUT AFTER YEARS OF GIGING THE OUTPUT JACK NEEDED REPLACING. BUT THEN AGAIN IT WAS ROCKED FOR YEARS.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I SLAMMED SLAPPED AND ALMOST KILLED THIS BASS. i NEVER HAD TO AJUST THE TRUSS. i DONT SEE ANY PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE. i CAN SAY THE TYPE OF STRAP LOCKS (THE INNIE TYPE) HAVE GIVEN AWAY ON STAGE A COUPLE OF TIMES FORTUNATLY THE BASS WAS IN MY HANDS. yOU WOULD NEED TO SEE THEM BUT AFTER OILING THE LOCKS THAT GO ON THE STRAP PART OF THE LOCK IT HASNT HAPPONED FOR SOME TIME. KNOCK ON WOOD. i WOULD NOT GO "AROUND THE WORLD" WITH THESE STRAP LOCKS OR WITH A BASS THIS NICE. I NEVER WORKED WITH A BACK UP BASS. BUT IVE ALSO BEEN KNOWN TO NOT HAVE BACKUP STRINGS. i SWEAR IM A PROFESSIONAL. LOL

Customer Support : No Opinion
2ND OWNER AND I WOULDNT SEND MY BASS TO GERMANY TO GET IT FIXXED

Overall Rating : 8
I NOW OWN A MODULUS Q5 AND HAVE OWNED ROLAND DB700, SWR BLACK BEAUTY AND TNT AMP/SPEKER COMBOS. I RIPPED THE FRETS OUT OF A OVATION CELEBRETY 4 STRING TO OWN A FRETLESS AND I HAVE TO RECOMENT THE SANSAMP FROM TECH21. i GREW UP AND BECAME A PRO WITH THIS BASS AND WILL NEVER SELL IT. IF I FIND ANOTHER ONE AND CAN AFFORD IT ILL BUY IT. ANYONE GOT AS FRETLESS

2005 model made in germany.
This is a five string beauty with 24 frets, made of two pieces of hard flamed maple.A wenge fingerboard is glued to the five-piece ovangkol neck, which slots neatly into the body and is secured by four bolts in individual recessed metal bushes.
It`s a limited model available only in the US and currently out of production.

It comes with MEC pickup combination driven by the switchable, active MEC 2-way electronics and three controls. J style pickups.
Gold hardware with a very solid string thorugh bridge.

Included accesories: Truss rod tool, some alen wrenches and a very padded gig bag.

Sound : 10
It sounds wonderful I play several genres from funk, rock, reggae etc.I also play several techinques like slap, tapping etc.

It is quite bright on the sound but you have to dial the controls and your amp to make it a little more bassy. The instrument can make different kind of sounds it is very versatile which to me it`s really important.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The setup from factory is perfect, the bass is flawless
everything is perfect!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Everything is rock solid and seems to last forever, I`ll tell you on a couple of years if the hardware looses the gold but I honestly can`t tell.

This is a gigging bass so you don`t need backup, it`s reliable 100%

I have been playing for 13 years, I own lot`s of gear from drum kits, to guitars piano, etc. I have a small studio at home.

If it would be stoles I would replace it in a minute but I would need some luck since they aren`t that easy to find nowadays so Im gonna be extremely carfeull with my baby.

Though the gig bag is very nice, I think for the price it should have come with a hardshell case.

To me it was a fantastic value cause I got it in a very special sale, cause it normally goes for around $1700
