This thing sounds awesome.
The tone will largely depend on the strings. It comes with roundwound strings so it's very Jaco out of the box.
The active electronics make it very versitile. Sometimes I don't have time to change basses between songs. If adjust my style nobody knows the difference(unless intonation is off)
Action, Fit, & Finish

This bass has a very smooth feel compared to the older wenge neck corvettes. It's lighter too.
I special ordered mine and it was shipped with a great action and intonation.
finish required waxing. I wouldn't rest my thumb on the wood. A lot of corvettes on ebay are discolored from that.

I played a three hour gig with this Bass the day after I got it. It's solid as a rock. Controls are tight and the hardware is solid.

I have been playing for 15 years. My other bass is a Warwick Corvette Standard 6 Fretted. I use Peavey TNT amps
I looked at the Thumbs and the Ken Smiths. I could not justify the price diccerence for the sound.
I bought it because I tried it out and loved the sound and feel. The Ken smith sounded a little better but not for double the money!
