Mine's made in 2002, Germany. Set-neck, 26 fret comfortable neck. The neck socket is set so deep it's almost like a neck-thru build. 2 band eq with active pickups, single and twin J. Neck is typical Warwick, ovankol neck with wenge fingerboard, bell brass frets. Body wood is afzaelia, same as the Stage II. Natural wood finish. I got mine used in great condition, aside from a little ding on the body.

I play in 2 bands, one metal, the other rock. My band mates have commented that the bass tone really cuts thru the mix without any effects at all. I can really hear the tone sing. Very rich mid to low mid tone, unlike my Vampyre, which has a heavier bottom end because of the different body wood. When i dig into the strings when playing heavy riffs, i can really feel the wall of sound it can produce. It's kinda surprising considering the body size and mass. It's a rather light bass compared to Fenders and some others. All these great tones with strings that are almost dead. I can't wait to change the strings to hear the full range of tone this little beast is capable of.

The bass came in great shape, including the truss rod, feel and action. Very well balanced, no neck dive, chambered body so it feels lighter than my Vampyre SN 5...the one is one heavy beast. Guess the shape of the body is a personal preference. Some may dislike it, some love it. I definitely love it. This bass has been played quite a lot for the past 7 years it's been around, and the neck is still in tip top condition. This one is definitely a keeper and is my main working bass.

This bass will last thru practically anything. Hardware is typical of Warwick, tough! I haven't really starting gigging with it, but I know it'll last a long long time. I'm not too concerned about the finish though. I've never polished or waxed it since I got it about 3 months ago. Don't think i'll be waxing her. I swapped the strap buttons to strap locks. I'll definitely gig with it without a backup. Neck is straight as an arrow for all these years.

I've emailed them on some issues with my serial number of my Vampyre, and the owner himself replied. I was pleasantly surprised. I love this commitment they have for their customers, even though my bass was bought used. Great job Warwick! You've got a customer for life!

What can I say? Whatever I needed to say about this bass has been said. I used to own a really solid Charvel neck thru 4 string bass, Yamaha RBX6JM, Traben Array Limited 5, Ibanez SR506. All these basses are pretty good in their own rights...but after playing a Warwick, I sold all of them away. Currently I own only 2 basses, my Dolphin and Vampyre. I play it thru an Ampeg BA110 30w practice amp, and it shakes my room. I recently got a used Boss ME-50B but I hardly plug it thru this cos I still love the natural tone of the bass.

I play both funk and metal, and this bass works very good for both, though i would like to have a second jazz bass for funkplaying, as this one is deep and growly, and not too punchy in the mids.

The factory setup was just amazing, i havent changed it one bit, real low action, and this baby is just easy to play as hell! The pickups were also perfectly adjusted. No flaws whatsoever.

This bass is built real well, i cant see anything happening within the next 20 years, unless i do it deliberate. Nothing to complain on here.
