Swamp Ash body with flame maple top. Ovangkol neck and ebony fingerboard. JJ MEC pickups with 2-band eq. This model was fretted. It felt surprisingly lighter than most warwicks. Body shape igorgeous and it felt comfortable holding. Still heavier then I like, and it would get uncomfortable standing up with it for long periods of time.

Sound : 10
I play mostly jazz, but other things as well. The katana had that signature earthy warwick sound. The pickups sounded great and the sound could be easily molded to fit any playing style.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Finish was beautiful. The entire bass was beautiful. I found no flaws at all on any part of the bass. The action was just to my liking, and it felt easy and smooth. It was a joy to play.

Reliability/Durability : 10
The bass seemed solid. I dont think that there would be any need to replace any of the parts. It felt very solid and well built.

Customer Support : No Opinion

I've been playing for a long time, and i've played a variety of basses. This one felt like one of the best I've ever played. However, I've played better basses for less than $2399, so it may not be the best choice for the bassist on a budget.
