I've owned this bass for 10 months and it is an awesome bass. If it were stolen, I'd hunt the thief down like a dog to get it back!

The combination of the ABT active electronics and the wood used for construction, render a resonate tone that is very adjustable to different styles of music. The bass is able to growl low, yet has a very melodic sound.

My bass was produced in VietNam. The strings that came stock were really bad. The action seemed high. I took it to a very gifted guitar tech here in Milwaukee, who went over and through it. With new strings and his masterful skill.. it now plays like a dream and on par with basses I've played costing in the thousands.

I've used this bass exclusively for almost a year. It has never let me down. I carry an older Fernandes just in case, but have never had to grab it. The hardwear is very rugged and very good. I have placed strap locks on to ensure that a strap mishap never happens. If you play live, that is a necessity on any bass or guitar. So far, just one adjustment to the truss rod. The bass stays in tune well... even with WI changing temps.

I've played guitar for 30 years and bass for 5. I love this bass. I love the way it sounds. I love the beautiful bubinga wood body. Many people comment on those two aspects when they approach me. I don't think there is a better crafted/sounding bass in this price range. It truly looks and sounds way beyond the price tag. I play through an ashdown rig... 4x10 & 1x15 cabs through a mag head. This bass sounds great through an ashdown.

It's got a nice sound, good and warm, and it's able to get that growl that bubinga is known for. The maple in the neck gives it a little snap, and the bass has good punch. The EQ makes it very easy to find a wide variety of sounds, although you get a little hiss when you crank the treble, but that's typical.

Seems well enough built. I don't have to worry that I'm going to break it if I drop it (perish the thought).

I've been playing for about 4 years now, and I got this bass because I'd decided it was time for an upgrade. I really like the look of this bass, and it's got a good tone that suits my style well.

My Washburn ABT Force 4 was made in Vietnam, it has 24 frets on a rosewood fretboard with mother of pearl dot inlays for a 2 octave range, natural finish on a bubinga body with neck-thru construction along with a string-thru monorail bridge, grover tuners, and 2 fat soapbar pickups running on a 2-band active EQ. You can't get more for the price.

The active EQ is the perfect balance between active pickups and passive. It allows the bass to have it's own sound, which it then amplifies. Bubinga is tonally flexible wood, can produce a great growl in the lower octaves. I love how this bass sounds.

The bass is very heavy, as bubinga is a very dense wood. It seems like a tank, but I still take extra care when I play it because I don't want to blemish the sheer beauty of this instrument. I would like to point out that depite the weight, this bass is extrememly well balanced, and I've never had to hold the neck up while playing.

I couldn't belive that I got this bass for the price I paid. I guess I got lucky. As far as buying it new, expect to pay anywhere from $600-800 USD. Even then I would say this bass is a good value.
