I bought this Bass in 1989, from the shop. Maple neck with ebony fretboard, active pickups. Has a standard size neck length. Nice thin neck.[Fender-Jazz-alike] It has active electronics, 1 tone control (which also activates/deactivates the preamp [push-pull switchable], 2 volume controls (for each pickup) and a 3 way pickup selector. It has 2 single Washburn pickups.

Sound : 8
I play a mostly post-rock and "pop-rock" and this bass suits fine. But... it's mostly great for funk!!! I use this bass through a Gallien Krueger MB at home and an old Yamaha amp in our band and it sounds great through both of them. The sound differs depending on how it's set up. It has a great, wide variety in sounds.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Even after almost 20 years this thing is .... perfect!!! Almost unbelievable, but true!!

Reliability/Durability : 9
Once again.... even after 20 years the hardware and the finish still look beautiful. [is doesn't looks "vintage" or "old" .....]

No problems with this bass; ever!

Overall Rating : 9
Since it was my second bass, and in fact my first "real" one, i would be heartbroken if it was lost, stolen or broken. The fact that i still own this bass says it all.

this is not my own bass but it`s my fathers bassguitar, but since nobody put in a review i will do it. ok when this abss wass made i have no idea probaly somwhere begin 90`s its made in korea ( i think) .
It`s a 4 string and has 22 frets mapple neck with rosewood ( ass on almost every bass) it has grover tuners on the neck and a standard bridge from washburn.

The electronics is what i find weird on this bassguitar it has 2 pickups (jazz stile singe coil passive ) it has a volume knob for each of the pick ups but it als has a pickup switch so you can select neck or bridge or both pickups why do you need a switch if they both have a volume knob(no it is not a phase switch knob)
oh yeah the tone control ( just one knob) its an active bass but also to be used passive if you pull the tone knob it switches to passive.

Sound : 8
ehh how those it sound well i tested it on my big peavey amp and whit the active electronics switched on it sound heavey like a huge kickass bass ( like a metal like bass or a warwick bass) but after playing a litle playing arounnd whith thje knobs i would say its a good funk bass as well.
Passive the bas hass a lot more karakter more purrrrrr like a jazz bass sound more alround.

The sound off the bass is quite allround and it is very good for funk and soul music.

ps.
it does his a little when only one of the pickups is in use

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
the action on this bass is superb fore this price if you would you could even do some stuart hamm tricks (tapping) high on the neck. the rest is quite fine some oxidizing spots on the bridge and the pickup screws not much more. the bass is after more than 10 years still in a prety good shape. no real flaws or what so ever.

Reliability/Durability : 7
this bass will seem to last manny years i did not have to do any work on it yet. the trustrod has remained ontouched since my father has owned it ( 1 year) and the action is stil good. everything else seems sollid enough to me.

iff i would use this on a gig witout backup ?? hell no . I will never play without a backup. If a string breaks you always renew all the 4 strings and that takes to long on a gig so always bring backup ALWAYS.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with washburn allthough they have a wwebsite no info of older basses can be found here don`t now why, iff you want good costumer support eaven after 20 years you should try peavey they have a nice costumer service.

Overall Rating : 8
for the monney it was bought its a really great bass to play, causse it really really play`s smooth and eassy ans sounds rather good as well. It is a really good bass as backup for the pro`s and a semi pro can use it for gigs and stuf. Beleive me iff i say it iss much better then a chinese squier or other beginers basses.
