The BB-5 has a deep, aggressive growl. Controls allow for considerable tweaking, even on a practice amp. You can cover a multitude of styles with this bass.

The design and finish are quite plain, but have a spartan appeal. It's well made, with tight tolerances and attention to details all around. The neck is nice and sraight - somewhat slim, with the strings close together - but you can set the action very low without the strings buzzing. It feels very sturdy.

This is a tough bass. Neck is bolted on with six screws. Everything feels tight. You set the adjustments where you like them and they stay put!

Never dealt with them...or needed to. I hear they're good.

This is a good bass for the money. Washburn makes a good product and imo the BB-5 is a real good buy. It sounds good, is very tweakable, and plays well. You can get them for a song and I'd certainly buy another. My only real beef is the dull, gunmetal finish.
