I play death metal + progmetal.
The sound is too muddy for me, too much bass.

Actually I wanted a bass, the next thing I heard was when my father
called me and said, "I bought you a bass".
Everything was horrible first in it.
We had to adjust about everything in it, I played about 6 months
with our setups then I decided to get it fully repaired (the fifth string buzzed no matter what)
The guy who repaired and adjusted my bass again, said that the bass
didnt have the finishing touch, it was poorly made.
I got it repaired again one or two times and still the fifth string
wouldnt stop buzzing.
It pissed me off so badly that I had to buy a new bass.

Been playing for almost two years now.
I own a Spector Legend 5, that costs around 200? more and is 10 times better than the Washburn.
My experience with this bass decided me not to buy a Washburn bass ever again. I hated the whole thing.
If buzzing doesnt bother you, buy it!
If it does, dont even try it!

made in 2001 its made out of rock maple, the neck is maple and rosewood fingerboard 5 string 1 musicman style and 1 jazz style active pickups, with a 2 band eq its got a blend control its the works damn nice its got a jazz bass style body and the most wicked bridge ive seen, this is apparently what inspired ibanez on the mono-rail system and its string-thru body to isolated saddles

this can go from all the styles, i even managed to get the sorta warwick growl out of it, not as good but for a #420 bass its good enuf, i put new strings on and the B string doesnt have enuf treble really but its .135 so i think if i change the string itll be fine, the B is tight and boomy and nice, the eq changes alot
i play nu-metal to jazz and this can easily handle any of it im glad i got this instead of the ibanez, the only thing i might do is change the 2 band eq to a 3 band eq but that can wait the range is enuf for now, this is so much better then the rb 2500 and for only #20 more its worth it, it even sounds good on my guitar amp, till i blew the speaker imm runnign it throught a headphone amp at the moment and it still solunds good

the set up from the factory was perfect, except the neck was a bit bowed which they sorted in the shop in 2 minuites, the intonaton was perfect and the action was low i raised it ever so slightly and the pickups were a bit high, the strings on it werent great but i took it home within 5 minuites it was perfect, the 1 issue i have with it is sometimes when i take my hads of the strings it buzzes ever so slightly and it buzzez very slightly when the treble is all way up and the jazz pickup is fully blended in, the whole thing was excelent

i dont play live so i dont know how it would stand up to it but we will see later when i play, the stap buttons probably should be replaced with straplocks and the hardware seems brilliant, it stays in tune, i only have to tune it if i put it againt the wall instead of the stand, the truss rod seems ok, i dont have a 5 string backup so ill have to gig without a backup

ive been playing for about a year and its better then the ibanez's ive tried except the ones which were over #1000, try the ibanez edb 605 before u buy this because it could be better for ur style of music but this is so versatile and it sounds so full if it got stolen id definatley buy it again then get a warwick streamer stage 2 im gona get a peavey delta bass soon see what its like on that
