Globally it is the minimum setup for a basic and fully usable bass.
Sound

I play mostly jazz, blues and some rock and it meet my needs since it is a pretty polyvalent instrument even though quite basic. I play it directly through a Yorkville XM-100 which deliver a warm and smooth clean sound. I like bass when its smooth and fat so I almost turn off the tone pot most of the time. One great thing is this tone knob, really sensitive and provide a wide range of possibilities. You can dial in for almost any kind of sound through it.
Action, Fit, & Finish

After lowering the action and adjusting the trust rod, it was really fine. With a such a simple axe there not much more than this to say.
Reliability/Durability
:

With such a basic setup and such a scratch proof finish, no need to worry. Hardware is quality, no plastic. Only concern is the output jack which get loose occasionnally even though I only play in my living room. Been playing it every day for at least an hour for the past two years and nothing fell off or broke.

It was my first bass. I've been playing regularly for the past two years. I recently purchased a Yamaha BB404F four string fretless bass that is comparable regarding the quality but with much more sound capabilities because of its dual humbucker setup... Anyway I don`t plan to let this one go, it's reliable, it sound good and look cool. Next thing on my list is a five string with active electronics but this XB-100Q will stay with me. For the money, you can't seriously ask for more.
