22 Frets, made somewhere Oriental. Body shaped like a Rickenbacker with a through neck. 2 soapbar pickups, with a 9V active circuit. With this circuit and these pickups the output must be rated in Femtovolts. The weakest pieces of crap Ive ever heard. Potentiometers loose. Neck quite wide with an action that even after adjust was v.high. My drummer wondered about the materials and we concluded that it was rain-aged palette planks. Finish on the top is nice in a sunburst photcopy floorboard fashion. Paint chips under photon impact.

Music played depends on who I am with. Quite catholic in taste as long as its not warbling tart music. This bass does non of it.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action ridiculously high. Piddled about with the truss rod, lowered the bridge heights to min and still a clearance>1cm at fret 12.
Back of guitar painted matt black but not even smoothed down.
The frets were also very good for slicing fingers if/when not totally unfurling hand when changing position.

Wonky pots needed tightening up (trivial). But the rest of it is so unbelievabley crap that I would not be seen dead with it in a live scenario.
It didnt seem long to realise that it was beyond redemption so I gave it to the kids at school, so whenthey smash it I can ham it up and act as if they have betrayed my altruism whilst quietly micturating with mirth.

Didnt bother. So oafishly made if they were in the least bit sensistive they might top themselves for what they have done

I gave it to the kids at school. Let them mash it up. Ifthey break it then tough titties. I thought thatit might be worth getting a cheap through-neck to use as a project, based on the naive preconception that it would be cheap because of cheap tuners, bridge and pickups. Wrong. So many corners cut that it makes a cue ball look sharp.
Have been playing on and off for nigh on 30 years.
So dear aspirants, steer well clear of. If you want a bass that does the business for beer money look out for a Westone Thunder.
Other basses = MIJ Jazz. V,sexy, Westone Thunder 1A, and my 1st a Canora P bass copy (with the best action Ive ever played).
