Comments: Would I buy them again I already have, these are my second set. Someone recommended I go chat to Andy Blake at www.pickuprepairs.com, I did and haven't met anyone with as much enthusiasm or time. And from other reviews here I think he gives a great service all round. I explained that I found Strat pickups too harsh, I tried a set of his Tweed Tones for free and they were much better, but I wanted louder and warmer so he crafted a set of Nineties that were calibrated and just sound fabulous - rich and warm, when you turn up the gain they growl and distort and really kick the amp. Andy was patient and attentive, it was a pleasure to give him my money, better still because I bought a set of three he gave me a special discount but made me promise not to tell, put it like this I got a super set of three for about what some big mass producers would ask for two. I have had Andy make some custom pickups for another guitar and they are just the ticket too, cause he's a small independent he can probably make you anything you want, in double quick time AND to a very high standard.
