Features :
Pickup features: Humbucking passive
Impedence or other specs: 10k ohms, Alnico v, std or f spaced, open poled

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Eggle Berlin or Les Paul
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: Stock Patrick Eggle
Other pickups on guitar: AWB Progression
Artists using this pickup: ???
You musical style(s): Just about anything
Reason for pickup change: Stock pup didn't do justice to a fine guitar, and having changed out the Bridge for one of Andy's Progressions I couldn't resist trying one of his new Racers' in the neck.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Medium Warm
Tone: Rich warm and middy but with great clarity
Sonic evaluation: Berlin/Ac30 sometimes a Marshall Valvestate

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Lead work mostly on covers some raunchy rock I guess it could be used as a replacement for any humbucker

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I'd kill anyone who stole it, it great. It lifts the Berlin to a new high giving me tones I'd never had before, for about ?120.00 for both pups I've lifted this guitar into a different level, these handwound custom grade pups are just wonderful, and the service I got was outstanding, Andy listened to what I wanted before he let me try them out for free on MY guitar - he sent them to me I put them in and just loved them. I have no hesitation in recommeding Andy's service and I have no doubt that if I hadn't liked them I could have sent them back no problem! Be sure to contact him at andy@pickuprepairs.com because he repairs pickups for a living he really does know what makes a good pickup.
