I was a bit sceptical that this would work, Aaron makes everything by hand on a custom order basis, and will tell what will work, and what won't, he is very patient, and helpful. He makes great pickups. I wanted a pickup that could do humbucking PAF, and P-90 sounds. He suggested using series parallel and coil tap options, with slightly heavier wire gauge, standard humbucking pickup, without a cover to allow for more windings a hence a better split sound. I am more than satisfied with the result, I wired the pot switching myself, Aaron supplied the diagram to use two push-pull pots. I couldn't find this wiring on the net, although I've done a fair bit of guitar electrics and wiring in the past, it is tricky to get the wiring into an archtop f-hole guitar. It was worth it in the end. The 3 options all sound great. Series humbucking is possible a little fat and bassy, depending on the amplification. Not suprising the guitar body size. archtops do colour the electric pickup sound quite a lot, in my experience. The parallel option is
cleaner, less bassy and a nice slightly nasal midrange peak, but still humbucking and quiet. The single coil does sound like a P-90, clean, airy, more acoustic

Custom made to order, great after sales service. No hype or inflated claims.
Brilliant all-round sounds, very versatile for a single pickup, and all the tones have character and are usable
