Features :
Well it's a humbucking pickup with the possibility of single-coil operation.

Among it's features are:

Special magnetic structure and construction.
The special magnetic field structure in these do not pull as hard on the strings as other pickups, which makes the sustain improve a LOT while retaining high output and also lowering noise.

Pickup is potted and shielded in a closed shell (looks just like EMG pickups) and the wires are twisted pairs for noise- and hum-free operation and the twisted pair wires makes installation way easier.

You can coil-split the pickup.

Instrument :
I installed it in a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser Floyd Rose, in the bridge position.
It replaced the stock EMG's. The neck pickup used to be an EMG, but I put an APC in there too (the Felony X).
Mike Gilbert from Severed Savior endorses these pickups.

Swapped pickups because i wasn't satisfied with the EMG 81 in it. I liked the overall tight feel and the sustain but the tone was a little dry and sharp.

Sound : 10
Output level is high enough for anybody. I play all kinds of metal (death, black, thrash, grindcore) and i feel the amount of output is more than enough for everything (more than enough for old Suffcation), but at the same time it's not so much that you can't turn the volume on the guitar down and not get your amp to clean up.

I'm using it with a 5150 head and a VHT Fatbottom 2x12 cabinet.
I have owned the pickup for 3 months now so I'd say the honeymoon period is over :)

The tone is overall balanced with great warm low end and a bright aggressive type of tone. The pickups are balanced to the point that i feel i now have way more room on the EQ controls on my amp and i don't need to put any control on 10 anymore. I no longer lack bass and mids but can turn the EQ on the amp so that i have too little bass if needed and i can turn it up to the point where it's just way too much. This applies for the treble and mid controls too, you just get a whole lot more room on the EQ dials than you're used to and you can dial in whatever tone you want.

Even when playing complex suspended chords through a lot of gain you can hear every string ring clearly. The string balance is exceptional.

The by far best thing about these pickups is the mid-range. The midrange is so pleasant to the ears it's unbelievable, there's no honkyness or harshness anywhere and the tone just overall sounds like a million dollars worth of gear. They have left in all the good mids and taken the bad ones out, like they do in a million-dollar studio.

Overall Rating : 10
From now on I'm using APCs exclusively. If i lost my guitar or it'd get stolen you could bet my next one would have APCs in it.

I have been playing for 6 years now, roughly.

These pickups have given me peace of mind in the sense that i can now stop looking for replacement pickups since this pickup is the perfect one. I now know there's one link in my chain that can't get stronger. You feel it when you play it.

Also, the customer service you get at APC is world class.

This company is a model for others on customer service, support, guidance and appreciation. Each and every time i ask APC a question and get a reply i fully feel that APC thinks I'm worth their valuable time and that they value me as their customer. Even though these values are not as commonly practiced today when running a business APC certainly don't fail to practice them to the fullest.

Features :
Pickup features: Humbucker
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Jackson fusion, Schecter C-1 Classic
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Stock jackson/ Seymour Duncan JB
Other pickups on guitar: APC Felony neck/ Seymour Duncan Jazz Temporarily
Artists using this pickup: Matthew Holycross/ Three Days Later
You musical style(s): Metal/ R&B/ Praise & Worship/ Contemporary
Reason for pickup change: I was the first reviewer. And I am still Bown away.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: You might as well give the output award to Adder Plus. They deserve it.
Tone: Balanced, detailed, Rich, and aggressive when you need it. EVERY TIME
Sonic evaluation: I currently am using 4 rigs
1. Lee Jackson preamp TC Electronics for reverb and little chorus into a cabinet simulator direct box. Simple and tube. I don't need a POD to play direct.
2. Vox AD120VT combo. This one is for sale currently and has served me well, but Its 3 years old and no warrenty left, so I am waiting for the Lee Ja ckson Amps to come out in July. I'm thinking XLS 1000 or Metaltronix M 3000.
3. Vox AD30VT for practice at home. This little titan is good enough to gig with. And I just may.
4. Ampeg SR212RT all tube combo with an Earnie Ball 250k volume pedal.
Again pretty simple. I've hit choice burn out and am toning down my Chain to what I have ever really used to begin with. Even when I had a POD.
I use both guitars, but lean toward the Schecter. I think my drummers kids knocked my Jackson over and never said anything.
My Jackson Fusion is a 1 of a kind, and was my main guitar till latley it has refused every set up and string guauge and won't play well for more than a day.
I found the Floyd post inserts are loose and the Body has begone to break at those points. I will retire this one sadly, But plan to replace with either a custom shop duplicate or PC-1. Haven't decided.
Still stunded by the loss. ( flowers will be accepted with chritable contributions on behalf of her) LOL
The Scecter is an absolute PRS smasher. Does what ever a PRS does and more since it is neck thru body.
The Persuader fenominal humbucking or split. The 5 way switch on the guitar gives me all kinds of tones.
When mixed with the Jazz it sounds great now the JB is gone. Good pickup for its time, but outdated.
I use this for church gigs, clubs, recording, lessons, You name it.
I even think they are hot enough to fry my eggs over medium, just haven't tried .
I have made some huge claims about these pickups. I beleive my pickups can beat up your pickups if you don't have Adder Plus, aka "APC"

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: This pickup is suited for anything you need. I know, I've used it for 7 years now with all my guitars.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: If they were lost or stolen, I would get more.
If Mel Lace disapeared I would hunt for him and his little pot of gold that he makes those pickups with.
If they could not be found, I would cry and beg Seymour to duplicate the pick, whatever the cost.
As for the scale of 1-10? These pickups are the scale by wich all pickups should be measured.
Tone is not a preferance, it is a scientific fact.

Features :
Pickup features: Humbucking, Passive
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Ibanez RG750, Charvel 650Xl
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Dimarzio PAF Pro, And EMG 81
Other pickups on guitar: APC Sphinx in neck. APC Humphrees 200& 300RW
Artists using this pickup: Matthew Filicicchia
You musical style(s): Rock, Metal, Cristian Contemporary
Reason for pickup change: Used Dimarzio for years wondered if there could be something better. Had EMG's in Charvel and don't like batteries but liked tone of the pick ups so I looked for newer technowlogies.
I used to manage a chain of stores and changed my pick ups at the drop of a hat and have tryed everything out there.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: clean high output
Tone: Transparent, strong distinct low end punch, massive mids without being ugly, highs that have a balance I have NEVER found in any other pick up on the market.
Sonic evaluation: These pick-ups have been played through a Marshall TSL200 head with 1960a 4-12 cab. through little or no processing. Then Line6 POD at church Through PA and personal monitor mix.Now I use the Vox AD120VT.
Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier in a store through 1-12 Celestion.
No matter what these pick-ups play through they bring the best out of any tube amp. When I was looking for a New amp I would take my guitars with me and I would always get a group of players asking to play my Ibanez or Charvel only to find out that Nothing off the wall could even come close to the quality of the tone.
Understand the homoginized tone of the Ibanez line has never impressed me and the only reason I bought the one I have is I didn't have anything else at the time and the pawn shop was unaware of what it was worth. $150.00 was a steal I thought.
Needless to say when I got tired of triing to make it sound any good I Caved and tried the APC's to see what they could do for this poor excuse of a guitar. And it was magic everyone wanted to buy the guitar from me thinking the guitar was great. Some said they would switch to EMG's and improve it.
WRONG!!!!!!!!!!
They obviously beleive every thing they read in the guitar mags.
This guitar bites the big one. But the pick-ups rule.
Next the Charvel neck thru 650XL which not even pluged in sounded good. Had EMG'S, with mid boost circut.
Here is the real comparison for the deceived that have been led to beleive this was the only way to get that PUNCH.
The APC's with a volume volume tone control setup, no batteries, are in every way superior to EMG, Dimarzio, Seymor Duncan, anything.
More punch, more of everything accept noise and distortion.
This has to be heard to beleived but do yourself the favor and buy them direct, you won't be let down.
I could gush about these for years and have.
Zakk's tone ain't nothing. I dare you to put a duet of Persuaders in your Les Paul and hear your Les Paul For the first time no kidding.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: There isn't a style they don't make a pick-up for

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: If my guitars were stolen I would report the pick-ups and Charvel stolen. and weep. Yes I would buy more for what ever guitar I had no matter what.
I have been playing for 19 years.
I wish that local retailers would get some balls and take a chance on these pick-ups. They simply are the best without question.
If you want to hide behind the old excuse of "subjective opinions"
then go lock yourself in a room where you won't have to run into a set of these and beleive only what the mags tell you.
