Reason for pickup change: The Fender Pickups sounded a little weak and dull.

Perceived output level: The pick up really gives the neck position much needed boost. It's just about as hot as the bridge.
Tone: The tone is incredible. Crisp and clear with warm mid range, bought out great sustain.
Sonic evaluation: I put this pickup in my Semi-Hollow Thinline Fender Tele. I play through a Dr. Z Maz Jr. 18 w/ reverb(Awesome Amp!!!) I use several effects such as Barber Tone Press(Compression), Time Machine Boost, Pedalworx Mcfuzz, Analogman Clone Chorus, T-Rex Replica, MXR 6 Band EQ. This pickup shines and has enhanced my tone 10 fold. The effects sound so much better.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play a blend of Country,Blues,Rock, Americana. This pickup is perfect for that sound. I could see even a hard rock guitarist enjoy this pickup. The pickup would not be suited for metal.

Comments: This pick up is every bit worth the money I paid. If it were destroyed I would definitely buy the same pick-up. If I buy another Telecaster it will have this pickup and I'll probably try Adder's bridge pickups as well. I've been playing for over 20 years. I've heard, played and owned quite a few guitar in that time. This is the best sounding neck pickup on the market. I mean, Brad Paisley uses it in all his guitars. That cat is truly an awesome guitar player and could buy any pickup on the market. He use Adder because tone is important!
