Beautiful tones and balanced all the way through. Smooth and very fat. Middle position between the 2 is to die for! Lead pickup clear and ballsy with that distinct PAF tone and bite. Neck position blues all the way. I ordered non dipped PAFs so I don't lose any of that beautiful tone. I use many amps....'60s Pro Reverb and Deluxe,JMP and Tweed Champ to name just a few.

If they were to come to be stolen or destroyed I'd be calling Jerry for more. If you are looking for that early PAF sound that is unmistakeable like early Jimmy Page this is it. I have been playing professionally since the '60s and have had it all and still do. I have played 30 years as a studio musician in LA and Texas and I have to have certain tones that require a guy like Jerry Amalfitano to be there for me. If you have the chance buy them, as he has devoloped the art of hand pickup winding that rivals the originators.
