Features :
Passive, single coil Tele pickups. 10.5k bridge, 9.5k neck

Instrument :
American '62RI Tele (replacing stock pickups)
Custom made Esquire style guitar (Amalfitano is first pickup in guitar)

Sound : 10
The output is great on these. No midrange spike, either. All 3 Tele & all 3 Esquire positions are completely useable. Great balance & tone. It's great to get to play strong pickups with such balance, complex tone. They really help you to play your entire rig.

Overall Rating : 10
If I lost my Amalfitano pickups, I'd replace them tomorrow with more Amalfitanos. I can't find anything I don't love about these pickups (& I really have tried).
If you don't sound good playing these pickups, the problem ain't the pickups.

Features :
Tele plus set. Single coil.

Instrument :
American standard tele. Replacing stock pickups. Very nice set. I've been using these for about a year.

Sound : 10
Pretty high output. Nice and clear. Good balance. Hum cancelling middle. Work well for any music style where you would use a telecaster. Slightly warmer bridge sound, and excellent punchy neck sound.

Overall Rating : 9
Excellent quality product. I would buy another set in a heartbeat.

Features :
Single coil passive pickups. SP Set

Instrument :
Installed the pickups in a 1987 Strat 62' Reissue. Replaced the bridge, mid and neck positions. Removed a set of Lindy Frailin Blues Specials, too hot and bought the TPs. While the Re-issue Strats are good guitars the pickups dont seem to represent the true tonality of the instrument.

Sound : 10
The output level of the TP pickups are just a bit more than OEM, not too much. I play a 76' Marshall JMP 50W and limited effects. I find that the pickups offer a great sound and respond well adjustments with volume and tone knobs on the guitar. I use the bridge position more now that I have the TPs installed. I play 1970's Rock and I prefer to let the amp do the 'dirty' work and allow the guitar to sing...

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 20 years and I am allways experimenting with pickups. I have several Strats and a few Les Pauls. I replace the pickups in the Strats because I feel they don't represent the true tonality of the instrument. The Gibsons don't seem to have this issue.

A Strat should sound great un-plugged. If it sounds great un-pluged but different going into an amp there is a problem and something is coloring the tone. It may be the cord, the amp or it may be the pickups.

Amalfitano pickups do not color the tone and accurately represent the tonalility of the guitar.

Features :
These are passive, single-coil replacement pickups for the Fender Telecaster. The neck is wound to 9.5K ohms, and the bridge is wound to 10.5K ohms.

Instrument :
I replaced the stock pickups (neck and bridge) in my 2004 Fender Highway 1 Telecaster with Jerry Amalfitano's TP set. The stock pickups sounded thin and flabby, and I wanted something with more punch and clarity. Deryl Dodd's guitar player, Steve Rhian, uses Jerry Amalfitano's pickups.

Sound : 10
These pickups are hotter than the stock pickups. I've found that sometimes high-output pickups can sound dark or muddy, but these Amalfitanos have a very open, natural sound. The bottom end is tight and punchy, and the highs are clear, with no harsh tones. I play blues, rock and country through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (Eminence Texas Heat speaker, JJ tubes), a stock Fender Deluxe Reverb, and a Peavey Classic 50 212 (one Hellatone 30 speaker, one Hellatone 60 speaker, JJ tubes). The Amalfitano TPs sound fantastic through all of my amps.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since 1986, and I have three American Stratocasters - one with EMG single coils, one with Seymour Duncan single coils, and one with Amalfitano SP single coils. I have two Telecasters, both with Amalfitano pickups - one with the TP set, and the other with the now-discontinued Elite set. In the Strats, the Amalfitanos sound noticeably better than the other brands, with more jangle (neck) and quack (middle/bridge). My Teles are wired with four-way switches, and the difference in tone between the stock pickups and the Amalfitanos is amazing. Now I can hear the steel and wood in my Teles; it's like they're finally able to breathe. These pickups are a testament to Jerry Amalfitano's dedication to tone and quality.
