Single coil passive strat pickups. 2 VA1 and 1 VA1R reverse polarity in the middle for hum cancelling in positions 2 and 4.
Instrument

Installed in a "62 American Special Edition Strat. Replaced Fender SCR pickups, all positions. I thought the SCR's were a little weak and muddy sounding.

Incredible vintage chimey strat tone. Very well balanced, medium output. If you're looking for pure vintage strat tone, these are the ones. I've had a '57, and '60 through '67 strats; and these are the best pickups I've ever heard. They have all the jangle of the old strat pickups, but they're fatter and fuller sounding.

I got these for almost half price from a store going out of business, but I'd full price again in a minute to replace them. I have Fralin Blues Specials in another strat that I also really like, but they are much growlier and don't really have the vintage tone these do. Think early Dire Straits.
