EVERYONE should use Angeltones ;) !

Sound : 10
Vintage output. For real strat tone, I've found that a slight underwind is the ONLY way to go. Through my setup (SR and Viboverb) that Angeltones are a match made in TONE heaven!

As with all of Ken's pups, they have solid warm bass, great mids (NO mud) and the highs are just the most clear bell-tone you've ever imagined (NEVER shrill).
These pups are perfect for real pre-cbs Fender Strat Tone. They can cover all the styles, except perhaps metal...(I bet Ken could do it though).

Overall Rating : 10
I have four (4) Naked Body Guitar relic strats and ALL of them have Kens' Angeltone Pickups. All are wound a bit different, but all are superb. I find the Angeltones to have the best "Vintage" strat tone around! Now that I know about them, I haven't looked back.

I've been playing long enough to know what I want my guitar to sound like.

Hamels, Rolph, VZ, Suhr, Fralin, Rio Grandes, Fender CS, Duffs, SD, Voodoos, etc..
All these are good, but the Angeltones have that 10% extra that make them special.

As I've stated before, Ken is top-notch all the way. He is a fanatic when it comes to tone! His pups are about the best kept secret around (Not for Long). Ken really puts everything into each set of pups and it shows ;)

Only the smart ones ;)

The Duffs are great, but I need a bit more chime and clarity...that Ronnie Earl Tone!

Sound : 10
For low wind pups, these have lots of volume and Punch! These aren't "weak" sounding at all.

Fender Super Reverb and Vibroverb. Sometimes I'll throw in a Retro-Sonic 808 (great Pedal)!

Ken at Angeltone is something of a pickup winding Genius! His knowledge of winding and getting your desired tone is unmatched. Kens attention to detail and achieving the right "look" as well as his personalized service is a bonus! His 5S7 strat set deliver authentic vintage strat bell-tone and balance. Lows are punchy and solid, slightly scoop mids and clear chimey highs and NEVER get shrill or harsh. If you listen to Ronnie Earl, it's THAT tone.

Mostly blues and attempts at jazz. These pups are perfect for those styles. Rock guys will need something hotter.

Overall Rating : 10
If lost or stolen, I'd phone Ken immediately and order another set. Ken provides detailed spec info with each set, so it makes ordering another set easier.

I've been playing for over 13yrs and have been through LOTS of pickups.

I have finally found that Ronnie tone i'd been looking for. BTW- Ken can get you ANY tone...just ask.

Not to many people know about these pickups but since he is local I took a chance and I'm very satisfied.
