Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: This is a good piece of equipment, natural, needs a bit of eq for electrifying an acoustic guitar
Tone: balanced
Sonic evaluation: I plug it in at Church, usually in conjunction with a Fishman pocket blender which I use to mix the mic & saddle pickup. Mic is usually down really low to avoid feedback in a group. The pocket blender is nice.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Under saddle

Comments: I'd check out the B-Band entity for steel or nylon string guitar mods. The entity can totally phantom power the internal electronics, act as a direct box, etc. That system is a bit pricey but good. My system also works well without the Fishman pocket blender. I can use just the under saddle pickup or take two channels in a PA and get both using a y cable.
