It's a humbucker pickup. You can get it in single or 4 conductor wiring, mine is single. Medium output. I bought the BG Bucker set.
Instrument
:
I have installed these in a PRS Santana SE. I replaced the stock Seymour Duncan Designed pickups.

Perfect output to cover a wide range of musical styles. Sounds good through a wide range of amps. These pickups are best used in a guitar with balanced or warm tone as they are very clear and smooth sounding with allot of "mojo". I play a wide range of musical styles: Progressive rock, classic rock, blusey rock, cool sweet jazz, latin rock, carribian rock, western rock, reggaie, tastey heavy metal, and allot of hard cutting edge progresive hard rock and anything else that'll allow me to do cool leads. I hardly ever play funk, jazz that uses flattened or sharpened whatever's in their chords, and I stay away from things that really don't sound musical.
These pickups will do everything from clean to metal. They love gain. I like them. They have a sweet, balanced, clear, slightly complex tone like I said before. Buy 'em you'll like 'em!

Great pickups. Some of the best out their, unless you trully want "that" PAF tone which is highly over rated as their really was no "true" PAF tone. Every PAF set sounded different, they were not all good, some were. These have a killer tone that I like better then a PAF clone as they cover a wider range of musical styles really well. They'll give you great cleans and great distortions. No pickup sounds great in every guitar but these will sound really good in a balanced or warm instrument. If you have a bright instument you might want to try a set with Alnico 2's. For $140.00 a set they are the best deal in the guitar pickup kingdom.

Standard BG Dark set with gold covers. Humbuckers.

I replaced the stock pickups in my Peavey HP Signature USA Custom because they were not hot enough, nor warm enough for the guitar, but they were a really good PAF type pickup. I knew with the "right" pickups the guitar would be a tone monster. This Peavey is probably the nicest they ever made.

Absolutely perfect in an archtopped, maple capped, ebony fretboard, non-tremelo guitar. With these pickups in this axe there in almost no humbucker tone I cannot cover really well, except grainy metal tones, which I wasn't going for with this ax. But don't get me wrong it will do metal, just tastefully! But what I was setting this guitar up for was great hard rippin/shreddin rock and these pickups do not disappoint. They sound really well baslanced with just the right amount of everything....mids...lows..highs...are just awesome. And then the "vibe" of these lil' mo fo's is somethin' else as they got mojo up the wazoo. Excellent for instramental rock of any type, except again some metal mork might call for some gnarlier pickups. Frickin' great tone!

Killer pups. After going through countless other pickups done by lots of winders, including 12 sets of WCR's which are no longer in any of my guitars, I can honestly say these are among the very best and could very well be my favorite. I've litterally spent thousands on many, many, sets of pickups, few ever cut the "mustard" these cut the mustard really well. And he seems to be a nice guy.

This pickup was hand wound by Bryan Gunsher at ???BG Pups???. It is a four connector humbucker, using an alnico 5 magnet, capped with a chrome cover and set snugly in the bridge.
I bought the Lizard for the neck (see separate review), and the BG dark for the bridge. Although Brian does not refer to these as a ???matched pair??? they work incredibly well as a unit. I was able to email him what I wanted so he did wind these for me with a particular theme in mind. He responded quickly and the pickups I received are proof that he was both listening and had the skills to ???wind in??? the sound I was after. The ability to talk to the person who will be winding your pick-up is a huge benefit in my opinion.
Instrument
:
2007 Schecter PT Fastback ??? telecaster. It did have Duncan designed HB 102 in the bridge and a FG 101 mini-humbucker in the neck. I should say that the stock pups where actually pretty good. We bought the guitar new because we like the tone.
The Schecter is made of Alder with a bolt on maple neck and rosewood fretboard.

To hear what the pickups sound like you can visit my sons YouTube page (www.youtube.com/user/MiniJimmyBoy) for his version of ???since I???ve been loving you??? (a good example because he switches between neck and bridge).
If you view this keep in mind he is only playing through a 15w Marshall practice amp. I think this is even more impressive because the tone he gets is amazing considering the volume is relatively low and there is no effects pedal being used (just a bit of amp gain and reverb).
The pick-up has a real open sound with just enough gravel in it to make things interesting and give it a personality. You can get Bryan to wind it hotter but I would say ours was wound moderately hot. Having said that, my god this thing kicks serious arse when you wind it up, particularly playing live where it really cuts through. The lows are tight yet none of the highs are lost and there is plenty of sparkle in the top end.
We play a lot of Zeppelin with this guitar and this pick-up is perfect for it (even without an LP).

This pickup is soooo good and the guitar has completely changed. It can be hard buying pickups over the net because you don???t really know what you are going to get. I am really picky about my tone and I happy to say that Bryan totally came through. The pups we got are simply awesome and if you include price point (we paid US$87.99 including chrome cover) then there is no comparison to something factory-wound.
