BG Pups Phatty

Single coil, non-staggered high-output strat pickup. I own a set of three, RWRP.

VERY well built and excellent support from the builder.

Hand wound pickup that competes EASILY and beats the big boys like SD, Dimarzio and other boutique builders, but at an affordable price.

Previously installed in a MiM strat, and I liked them so much they have ended up in my '74 Fender Strat, all three positions. All pups wired to a master tone control.

I play through a Hot Rod Deluxe, usually on the drive channel with the drive volume at about 4 or 5. and use a tube screamer when I need more dirt.

These pickups give good solid output on the drive channel. Doesn't fart out on the neck at high volume at all, very clear bottom end. The bridge pickup is the sleeper of this set, best sounding single coil strat bridge pickup I've ever used. Not too trebly and responds well to a tone control to roll off the highs and still stays strong. Plenty of strat quack in the 2 and 4 position.

Here is the kicker of these pickup; although they are high output and just begging for dirt, they clean up very well. They shimmer in the 2/4 position when played clean. Piano like clarity.

I've been playing 30 years and used to play teles exclusively. In the past year or so I've been playing strats and looking for the right set of pups - these are them. I may get a set of BG Pups Vintage 60's to try in the MiM strat, but either way I'll be keeping these in a guitar I actively play.

The phatty bridge single coil is to my ears the best strat bridge pickup in the market.And I know most pups,even use FRETCHER-LANDAU by Suhrs pickups wich cost much more.See I only use top of the line stuff.I work make money and buy the best stuff.Endorse a bunch too.EVEN STAR TO BECOME A TESTER FOR SOME OF THE UP COMING STUFF.There is manny nice things guitarrists dont even know exist to make their sound great.And BRIAN GUSHER PUPS ARE TOPS.The best pups right now and you betcha it sound better than pups that cost twice as much.GREAT VINTAGE,PHATTY SOUND,SIMILAR TO P90's but with a true single coil sound and no noise.Enough said.
