Bare Knuckle Pickups Apache and Mule Set

Mule Humbucker, Alnico IV, 8,5K, 4 wire for tapping

Guitar: Godin Artisan
Apache: Neck, Middle
Mule: Bridge
Replacing : All Stock Pickups (made by Schaller)
Reason: The stock pickups are all humbuckers which can be coil tapped (not individually) but I still found them to be lifeless and lacking resonance for my type of playing.

Output is similar to the 1960 strat I once had, well balanced, but more open.

I use them with Fender and AER amps, chorus, smal Zoom petal and recently with Guitar Rig.

With the good tone controls of the Godin I can dial great sounds and the sound is exeptionally open and resonant. Balance of the whole set is perfect. With coil tapping the humbucker is is everything from Shadows twangy to jazzy blues. Middle can produce nosy blues sound and neck is full-bodied.
I play most styles exept heavy metal and this set proved to be way beyond my expectations.
Heavy metal layers will probably like some more umph than this set delivers.

If this set was lost I would buy another set but possibly a differnt guitar.
I have played guitar over 30 years and owned a number og guitars. Recently my Taylor has been my favorite but now that the Godin has come alive I play it a lot.
I love the open and lively sound of the pickups and am happy with my decision taken after a lot of thought and try-outs. These pickups where however bought withot testing due to the favourable reviews I read.
The E strings at the neck are slightly off centre of the 52 mm spacing but it does not seem to matter. Spacing at the bridge is ok,
I mailed BNP info on my style and the guitar spec and bought what Tim recommend. All correspondence was pronptly replied to.
When ordering at the web shop I was happy to see that VAT was deducted since this was for export. The total cost stated includes shipping, which took ten days, and 24,5 VAT in my country.
Critics, flashier graphis for the wiring diagrams ? (grin)
