I put these in my Gibson Les Paul Studio. The Black Dog is in the neck position with the Rebel Yell in the Bridge. I replaced the Gibson 490R and Gibson 490T that came with the guitar. I changed the pickups out because I wanted something with a bit more power and just overall better quality.

Man! These things rock! I purchased a Gibson DG335 recently and I find myself playing the Les Paul far more since I've had the Bare Knuckles installed. I've just ordered a pair if Mules for the DG335. I'm a huge fan of Wolfmother, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and with these pickups I can really get the sound I'm looking for. If you're in the market for some quality pickups you can't go wrong with Bare Knuckle! I'm serious these things are amazing!

Something that may be overlooked when purchasing pickups is customer service. Tim over at Bare Knuckle will talk to you HIMSELF about what you're looking for. I've e-mailed him several times with stupid questions and he has been nothing but kind and helpful. I find it amazing that you can talk to the man behind it all. I told him what sound I was looking for and he gave me some suggestions which were spot on.
