P90 Single Coil, Humbucker Sized direct replacements. Alnico III, wound with heavy formvar wire.

Installed into an Ibanez JSM100 (80's AS reissue/copy) John Scofield signature. 335 Type Semi-Hollow Electric. I replaced both humbuckers with a matching set of Manhattans.

Excellently clear output but perfectly clean. No effects, just the guitar into a Fender Valve amp. The tone is clear and precise but also has punch and warmth. I largely play straight ahead jazz and some fusion. It's early days but these seem to fit the bill exactly and it was a great suggestion from Tim at Bareknuckle. These P'ups actually need very little in the way of EQ or tonal fine tuning. Amazing.

I would certainly replace these. I'm just dissapointed that I didn't find P90's sooner!! I have been playing for 15 years now and work regularly so need a reliable rig. I can certainly see me keeping these for many years to come. Installation was easy and the service from Bareknuckle was excellent.
