Hot ! but in a very musical way.
Play into a Diezel Einstein head and two marshall 4x12s with greenbacks in top vintage 30s in bottom
HUGE tone big bass but tight not thick of flabby very chunky, massive midrange push but again in a vocal way that gives chords clarity but huge grind, treble is really amazing mix of sweet and agressive but never harsh. Tapped they have a nice zing with some chorus sweetest ceramic pickup clean sound iu have ever heard.

If they were destroyed or nicked I would order another set without hesitation
I have been playing 18 years and gigging for 15, currently use a live set-up of the above amp and cabs 15 year old rocktron intellifex (still bloody good)left out of that goes to Diezel and one cab right goes to a Soldano Decatone head on the other cab. I prefer the Diezel preamp much more controllable from the guitar which these pickups excel at ! Really clean up nice with guitar volume. I own loads of pickups, Bareknuckle being the best by far but in this guitar these give it the sound i always wanted from it. Very versatile, i use it for everything from Free to Hendrix to Metallica to Muse and this set covers them all pretty well ! I play in a three piece so I need a huge tone to fill the space and these are perfect ! Thanks Tim ! I would like to add that Tim Mills at Bare Knuckle is probably one of the nicest guys in the industry and has a clear obsession with tone, is never patronising and shows a clear want for YOU to sound great and always succeeds !
