Features :
passive, stacked humbucker
supposedly 13K ohms

Instrument :
Tele
bridge
replacing stock
don't know
anemic, thin OE pickup

Sound : 5
output seems hotter than stock
tried through Marshall DSL, Mesa Nomad, Carvin X100B, Mesa Maverick
Tone is pretty well balanced for a Tele bridge
Tight, punchy funk/rock. Good pickup for clean playing.
Tele bridge only. I was quite impressed with the sound and tone of this pickup with clean or moderate gain settings. Even at LOUD volumes, it seemed pretty quiet. Then I tapped my boost pedal for a solo. Bad deal... this thing howls and squeals uncontrollably. I tried it on 3 different amps' drive channels with moderate gain settings. Bunk.

Overall Rating : 1
Never again will I spend money on Bill Lawrence Products
been playing 20+ years
loved this pickup until I punched a high gain setting. This thing sucks at any type of solo gain setting and I'm not playing Metal here.
No, took a gamble and lost
Yeah, a refund
No
Some sort of microphonic damping.
I inquired with the selling dealer, they said definitley something wrong talk to the manufacturer. I e-mailed them and they asked me which position it was in after I had already told them. Then they told me to gound it properly. After I informed them it was grounded properly they quit responding to my e-mails. Bunk.

Features :
Pickup features: Passive Humbucker
Impedence or other specs: around 13K I think...not sure

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Telecaster
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Mexican stock
Other pickups on guitar: Gibson P-94R
Artists using this pickup: None that I know of
You musical style(s): Blues rock mainly
Reason for pickup change: Stock sucks, I have two if the strat verions in my strat, and I love their complete tonal palatte

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Normal. Not cold, not jumpy either. Maybe 'perfect' woiuld be better.
Tone: Just work the tone knob, it's got twang and un-muddy guts too.
Sonic evaluation: It's the ONLY humbucker that sounds like a single in a single slot.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Blues rock minaly, and yes. Versatility works weel with digital applications.

Overall Rating : 9
Comments: I swear by these things. Seymour duncan can eat his heart out. All of my guitars have one or more of them.
These are not from the Bill Lawrence (aka Will Stich) but from the Bill Lawrence USA company in California. Which ever side of that argument you're on, you have to admit there are killer pickups on both sides!
