I've had my Brownsville MB630 bought from Sam Ash Music for almost three years now. I also have a Gibson Les Paul Custom, a Gibson ES175D, a Taylor T5, plus about 5 others, and I have come to the conclusion that my Brownsville MB630 is the best of the best. I had to make some adjustments etc, but after I try one of the ones mentioned above in my several gigs, I know that my Brownsville is the best of all. Not only sound, but looking closely, it is the best made even above or equal to my Les Paul Custom. I just can't understand how I purchased a $300.00 guitar of such high quality. I will never sell it, because you just can't buy anymore anywhere unless you can find someone who has previously purchased one and would sell it. It's really unbelievable.

I did replace the pick-ups with 2 humbuckers purchased from Stewmac because I wanted a Gibson sound, but the original ones were great and were heavy magnet made which I will keep that sound like a Gretsch guitar.

With the original and the ones I replaced with are very good sounding. I play fingerstyle try to sound like Chet or Merle, but also play flat pick on some gigs

I have been playing guitar in a band for over 40 years, and I can find nothing that I don't like about my Brownsville MB630 guitar. It is the only hollow body electric that I have ever owned that will stay in tune from one weekly gig to the next one. I barely have to make an adjustment when I always check tuning before starting.

I bought a Brownsville MB630 hollow body electric guitar from Sam Ash musical. This guitar impressed me more than any electric guitar than I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot. Today, I also have a Gibson ES175, a Gibson Les Paul Custom and a Fender Stratocaster. I did make one change only. I replaced the pick-ups with humbucker pick-ups as used on Gibson guitars. The Gretsch type pick-ups had a too sharp sound. The body of my MB630 is identical in size to the Chet Atkins "Country Gentleman" (17" size boot), and plays better than the past 2 Chet Atkins guitars that I have owned. I will never change guitars again as I have found finally "my" guitar. Not only does it play and sound beautiful, it is really a beautifully made guitar in looks and sound. It seems impossible to get a guitar made this perfect for $300.00. Sam Ash has told me that they can not get any more and that I had bought the last one. I will not sell mine for any less than $5000.00. I really mean this. Changing the pick-ups and installing a master volume control are the only changes that I have made. (I did have to modify one of my guitar cases to accept a 17" wide guitar). Bob, Columbia, Tn.
