Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: Fender Strat
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Stock
Other pickups on guitar: Stock
Artists using this pickup: ?
You musical style(s): Rock, Metal
Reason for pickup change: Factory pickup not well-suited for musical style
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Normal
Tone: Balanced
Sonic evaluation: This guitar gets run through a variety of amps, but most of the time through a Digitech RP-12 out to P.A. and/or direct to recording console.
It delivered exactly what I had hoped: It produces a nice humbucker sound without any of the thin-ness or hum of the original single coil pickup it replaced.
I was unhappy that it wasn't delivered with any type of wiring diagram (i.e. Carvin could have at least provided a list of which wire was which). But, got that information from the internet and installed without a hitch.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Rock, Metal. This works good for me.

Comments: I would buy it again since it was an inexpensive solution.
It did everything as promised.

:
Model of guitar or bass:
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: fender stock pickup

Artists using this pickup: who knows
You musical style(s): metal, hard rock, punk, blues
Reason for pickup change: stock pickups were very noisy and didnt sound too good.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: a bit less that my stock pickups ! which were weak anyway.
Tone: bright, trebly sound and good mids i guess. not great bass
Sonic evaluation: Its fixed to a korean made fender which is actually a great guitar. from there it goes through my zoom 500 multi effects pedal (good cheap unit) and then to my marshall VS 65R. also a great amp if u can get it for 300 bux like me.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: metal hard rock punk and blues. NOT suitable at all for bride...im moving it to the neck now which should give it a bit more buts and bass which it lacks

Comments: Ive been playing for 2 years now and there is NO way that i would buy this pickup again...the guy said it has heaps of output which it doesnt, its VERY weak...even less than my dodgy stock pickups. the things i like about it are:
* it has the rail, good so you dont lose volume when bending strings.it has very low noise, great harmonics and a bright sound which is good distorted but u have to really fatten the sound with your EQ or just your amp controls. but moving it to the neck should help that...
what i dont like is:
*its pathetically weak ! it has no bass in it at all and is just too quiet for my likeing. i usually thrash the strings to get anything out of them. the price...a bit steep
my original review of this in the guitar section gave it a score of 1 but after thinking bout ,moving it to the neck id have to upgrade it a bit.

Features
:
Pickup features: Passive, Stacked humbucker
Impedence or other specs: No clue
Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: Ibanez EX-160
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: Stock Single coils
Other pickups on guitar: Also in the middle position
Artists using this pickup: Huh????, don't know
You musical style(s): Hard rock, Classic rock, Heavy metal, blues
Reason for pickup change: Stock single coils were too noisy
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Very low output, less than my stock pickups
Tone: Balanced, slightly leaning towards the treble side
Sonic evaluation: These are neck pickups, I wanted more output, but I am satisfied, they've got a good 2nd position sound, NO NOISE, if you want an SRV tone, look elsewhere, they're not hot enough, but if you like a good clean sound, these are it.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: All, except jazz, not fat enough or hard rock, not enough output

Comments: I wouldn't buy them again, although I am satisfied with their sound, and for the price, they're a steal, If you want a cheap upgrade, go get these.
