Features
:
This is a passive Humbucking Pickup which is the same as a C22B except that it has a chrome metal cover. 13.6k Ohms.
Instrument
:
I installed it in a Jackson SL3 in the bridge position which replaced my Seymour Duncan JB.I also have 2 Lace Sensor Gold single coil pickups in the neck and middle positions.
My Jackson SL3 came alive!
I had purchased a brand new Carvin Guitar and by default I was going to change the pickups out as they will only put their own pickups on their custom built guitars.
I was using the guitar ???as is??? live for a few gigs and it just smoked! The S22B sounded so good that I changed my mind about replacing the pickups and then purchased another for my Jackson SL3 and now that guitar is smoking too!

This has moderate to high output. I play thru a Boss GT-6 and straight into a directbox then right to the PA. No guitar amp involved. The tone is warm but a little on the bright side but balanced. I play all styles of music, Rock, Jazz Funk, Fusion, forwards backwards and upside down. This pickup is designed for the bridge position.
I was blown away with the amazing harmonics jumping out of this baby! I don???t even need to krank up my gain as much to make it sing. It has a really nice chunk sound to it when rockin but still cleans up very well. I was able to get a nice funky strat sound in combination with my middle single coil (Fender Lace sensor gold) with plenty of quack.
I have the S22B also wired for single coil operation and it sounds great when you use the north coil of the S22B with your middle pickup. It really shines but I did not care for the south coil alone with the middle P/U as it sounded too bright (but that is just a matter of my opinion.)

I took my Seymour Duncan JB out of my Jackson & sold it.
I recommend this p/u BIG TIME. I believe that this p/u may be under-rated and is not getting the recognition it deserves.
Everyones taste is different but I'm a picky person and this was perfect for me.
I've been a musician since I was 8 years old and I'm now 46. I've played many guitars and pickups. This is the winner.
