Features :
Pickup features: humbucker in a single coil size
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: squier affinity series strat
Position: all positions
Pickup being replaced: stock neck and stock bridge pickups
Other pickups on guitar: stock middle, but I don't use mid position anyways
Artists using this pickup: Me and that's all that matters
You musical style(s): 80s rock, 90s rock
Reason for pickup change: the stock pickups sounded too thin for me. I've bought carvin products beforeand never really had a problem with them.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: way better than stock
Tone: better than stock
Sonic evaluation: I'm running this guitar through a 1989 Peavey Stereo Chorus amp and a Boss DS-1 distortion pedal. This sounds amazing to my ears.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: it's pretty good for 80's and 90s rock

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: My overall rating of this pickup along with anything Carvin sells is a 10. I had a Sc90s guitar a couple years ago and I loved it but had to sell it because of bills and whatnot. In addition to my strat, I also have a Samick Les Paul copy with a Carvin M22SD pickup that sounds amazing. But the Samick spends most of it's time in its case since I got this strat. If any of my gguitars were lost or stolen I'd buy a strat and a LP copy and put Carvin pickups in it.
