Tone: Open sound wide metalic single-PU gut-bucket/surf tone
Sonic evaluation: I play thru Fender amps and also have a very nice 2-12 Univox Tube rig that sounds MELLLLLL-oh!
This pickup sounds great....period.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Surf, Instro, Hillbilly etc.

Comments: Here is what I have to say: THESE PICKUPS ARE NOT MADE FROM LIPSTICK TUBES. ok, fine...they RESEMBLE one kind of lipstick tube from years ago. Actually, this PU more closely resembles a COW-MAGNET.
I repeat....NOT MADE FROM LIPSTICK TUBES. GET REAL.

Reason for pickup change: Looking for a different sound, just messing around with a cheap guitar.

Perceived output level: Normal single coil output, but a sound all of it's own.
Tone: Jangly, pretty well balanced.
Sonic evaluation: My messed up Strat into a MXR Dyna Comp, GCB-95 Crybaby, TS9, MXR Analog Delay, and then into a Fender Vobrolux Reverb Reissue.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: This pickup is best suited for clean sounds, like jazz and surf.

Comments: When I came up with this, I was just messin around with some extra cash and came up with a..well......unique sound. Very good sound with reverb (can produce a Dick Dale type sound with my Vibrolux.)
