Comments: "Deaf-Eddie" sells 3, 4, and 5 way switches that can be installed in place of one of the tone controls on your strat, leaving the other tone control to be wired as a master tone control. These switches give the guitar extra pickup combinations. (Series, parallel, phase etc.) I followed the very clear instructions that came with the switch(installation involves basic soldering), and within 30 min.I had NEW TONE options!
My old tone knob fit on this new switch, so my strat still looks stock.(It's a 62 reissue).
With the Deaf-Eddie switch in the first notch you have all the stock strat tones on your old 5 way, when you click the D-F switch to the next notch , the new sounds start and the fun begins!
A chart of the new pickup combos/locations came with the switch and the instructions. All the soldering done on the switch by Deaf-Eddie was neat, clean, and very professional looking.
Deaf Eddie's switches are one of the best mods you can do to your strat for under $50.00. He offers many different versions of this switch: fat-o, v.2, v.3, the new Memphis mods and the chromeacaster.
If you own a strat(or Tele)and are looking for new tones - check out deaf-eddie.net
I will be buying more switches for my other Fender guitars.
