Noiseless single coil, relatively new from dimarzio. 13 ohms i think.

I put this in bridge position on my LPB Tele partscaster (it's the best guitar, i love it) my last guitar, a schecter, was way too dark to cut through the mix, i almost overcompensated with this tele, the bridge cuts like a knife with tone on 10! i'm using a Seymour '59 humbucker in neck, which contrasts nicely.

Output i would say is 'vintage hot', it isn't as hot as my '59, which is set further from the strings to make the volumes match. I'm using an old Alron amp, with a G2D custom, Nova Delay, and Dimarzio Very Metal pedal (great fuzz). Like i said, this pickup is very bright, i would prefer a bit more bass/low mids, but i can get that by selecting both p/u's. I bought this pickup for my gat online, so i had to go by the dimarzio website, and it sounds pretty much like i was hoping. a great pickup, and real quiet too, for a single coil!

I would use it again if stolen, i'm pretty sure. i've been playing about 10 years. I chose this pickup to help me get over the JB in my last guitar, trash pickup for anything other than metal or rock. This pickup is great, plain and simple.

Passive hum canceling single coil Tele bridge pickup.

I replaced the bridge pickup I had in my Crook Custom Tele Style guitar. I had the Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Hot in the guitar and was very happy with it in general but it was just a little too much on the beefy side of things. I had tried the Regular Area T and thought it was a great pickup as well but a little on the bright side for my setup. This pickup sits right in-between those two. Still plenty of snap but a little more beef than the regular Area T.

These Dimarzio Area T's are the Bee's Knee's as far as I'm concerned. I've had & heard all kinds on single coil & hum canceling pickups including the Duncan Stuff, Kinman, Lawrence etc. I also get a chance to hear quite a few custom wound pickups at Crooks shop as I work with him in his shop from time to time. I get to test drive all kinds of new and neat stuff. These Area T's as well as their Area Strat pickups take a back seat to no pickup. They sound fantastic and sound as close to a true single coil as I've heard. They really do it better than any I've tried. They are less compressed in general than anything I've heard that is hum canceling. A joy gig with and not worry about noise and I feel there is little to no compromise at all.

If your sick of single coil noise (come on you know you are) these are the pickups to look at for sure. They took this a big step further and are just great sounding pickups period.
