Features
:
Pickup features: Single Coil - Bridge - Passive
Impedence or other specs:
Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: 80's US Strat - (a half decent instrument but not great)
Position: middle
Pickup being replaced: whatever fender put in last time
Other pickups on guitar: Seymour Duncan's Hot Rails & Hot Stack
Artists using this pickup: I hope Brian May would use it - it has his signature on it.
You musical style(s): Rock/Pop/Alternative
Reason for pickup change: I wanted a fatter/fuller sound from my strat. Replacing pick-up's was a good idea.
It has given the strat a much more heavier sound that I like.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Very Hot for a single coil. I don't know much about pick-up's, but I replaced a duckbucker with this one and I am getting a hotter output.
Tone: lots of mid's with some trebble
Sonic evaluation: I am playing it through Boss multiple effects & a fender pro 185. This
one sounds great in dry mode as well.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: My band does mostly rock music. This is great for the style.
Overall Rating
:
10
Comments: I love this pick-up. Would I buy it again. Hell yes! You get great value for your money.
