Features
:
These are Passive Humbuckers, with 3 conductor wiring. (Red is hot, white tap, ground.) They register about 10K for the neck, and 11K for the bridge.
Instrument
:
They came standard in the 1979-1982 Genesis models of guitars that were built by Matsumoku for Epiphone/Gibson. A coil tap came standard, and worked well with just a touch of single coil hum. Made exclusivly for Matsumoku by Dimarzio, these pickups scream out JAZZ!

Warmth. Just the warmest tones come from the guitar! The bridge cries out with the creamyist distortion with the right amp settings, and the neck can get that Robert Fripp super heavy distortion. (Which, to me at least, is the perfect tone. I rewired the coil tap to a inner coil/humbucker/outer coil switch, and the tones just roll off of them.
I play primarily thru a Roland Jazz Chorus 77, and a Marshall G30cd, or some such idiot number.

If I could find them, I'd buy all of these pickups I could! A sweet warm sound clean, and stinging tones thru distortion. What more could you ask for?
