Features :
Passive Humbucker 7,8K @ Bridge 7.42 on neck if I remember well

Instrument :
Gibson/Baldwin Les Paul Signature Series
Neck and Bridge
stock

im useing it
want a vintage sound

Sound : 10
the output level is just nice for me
tested on a VOX amp modeller 50 Watts half-valve hybrid amp
wich is surprised me, is that the pups are very balanced, much more better than the stock gibby/baldy (wich was surprisely good on a valve amp for the price of the guitar)
Im try to play every kind of music, but im always want the vintage sounds. Neck is warm and sweet, the bridge is just wow
ive got a test movie on youtube, where the bridge pickup is at least 1cm far from the strings, and its still as loud like a gibson in the correct distance.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ9jH5Y87-k just check it out, it rocks!

Overall Rating : 10
sure i would buy again, and try out another dirty one.. am playing since 15 years at least, but its just a hobby. my only hobby.
and fast posting to uk! thx

Features :
Passive humbucker in the ever so popular "boutique" PAF region.
This one measured 8.74k, I specifically asked for a hotter item

Instrument :
Guitar used is a Fender John Mayer Strat body with USA Custom guitars neck and a Floyd Rose tremolo. I use the humbucker in the bridge position, replacing a Rio Grande BBQ that was just too much of everything. Guitar is a typical s/s/h guitar, other pickups are DiMarzio Area 61

Sound : 10
Typical slightly hot PAF output, but IMO extremely well balanced in tone. I play a variety of music with the same guitar ranging from blues to heavy metal, this pickup works just perfect for me with added gain on the amp (Marshall DSL) when playing metal. Potted, and feedback-free, but still with the vibe of a non potted pickup tonewise.
I only use humbuckers in the bridge position, can??t really tell how it sounds in any other position

Overall Rating : 10
I??ve been playing this type of guitars since 1979, and have used basically everything, going through the Fralins, WCRs, WB, Duncans etc etc, and this is one of my favourites so far--the price??s also insanely low, he??d probably sell more if they cost $160 and got more of the mojo hype-still..glad he concentrates in quality instead LOL
Use mine without the cover, would have liked to have an option in bobbin colors

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Fender '52 Telecaster w/Humbucker

Pickup being replaced: Was installed to create/replicate Keef's Micawber
Other pickups on guitar: Voodoo TE-60 bridge
Artists using this pickup: anyone with an ear for great sound
You musical style(s): blues, jazz, country, whatever suits my taste
Reason for pickup change: I wanted that vintage PAF sound and have been through it all ie. Duncan, Wagner, Classic 57, Florance and for the $ the Dirty Dog is the shit!

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Ballsy, has the right punch for a vintage PAF sound
Tone: Warm and sweet in the neck position, great balance
Sonic evaluation: I play an original Fender '65 Super, a Marshall TSL602 and a Allesando Working Dog. The Dirty Dog works sounds great with all especially through the Allesando Working Dog. "The dogs begin to howl all my neighborhood". !!

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Suitable for all styles as far I am concerned

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I have been playing 31 years and have tried so many PAF replacements I have lost count. The Dirty Dogs are as nice as any Ive placed and for the money its a tremendous value!

You musical style(s): Rock, blues, Jazz
Reason for pickup change: I love to try out new pick-up offerings. This maker is new to me. Owner is electrical engineer. Looked good, so thought I'd give it a shot.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Slightly hotter then stock.
Tone: Focused and well balanced. Definitely better string balance. Warm and sweet tone.
Sonic evaluation: '57 Gibson Les paul Custom Historic. Using Fender Deluxe with Weber replacement speaker. Also, tried through vintage Marshall 50 watt combo. HOT! This pup is great match for Marshall. No feedback and really nice singing sustain.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Blues, Classic Rock. Great bridge pick-up. Will review neck whan I get it.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I like the DirtyDog pick-up I purchased. It has great tone and cost is very reasonable compared to other "boutique" units i tried. I will buy the neck version and try it out. I'm fairly impressed.
