Features
:
HB Strat PUPs. Black ,Concealed blade pole pieces. Not calibrated for each position. Epoxy potted.
Instrument
:
SX strat copy. all positions , replacing some mighty mites. Mighty mites sounded a lot like fender 57/62 vintage pickups , a bit thin sounding. Wated a bit richer sound with more sustain and wanted no noise.

These pickups are dead quiet and sound great. A little more output than vintage pups. More broad range than vintage pups. Adjust output balance by distance to strings for each position. These dont really sound like vintage chimey pups with a lot of bell tones etc , but they do sound great. You get some of that vintage stuff but also a little more power and a lot more sustain. They do sound richer and very nice. they are very balanced and clear. They still sound like single coils. Only medium quack in pos 2&4 but they still sound fabulous.

These are some of my favorite strat pickups. They are very nicely packaged and very well made and like i said , they sound great. The best thing is that you can get 3 of them for $60 from stewmac. They should be available at other places and i wish they would make a select tele set.

Features
:
Passive humbuckers, don't know specs.
Instrument
:
1983 fender strat, replaced all stock pups because the buzz drives me crazy, but I love that classic fender sound. A guitar tech I knew recommended these to me and did the install in 1995.
Sound

Output level may be a little lower, as the previous reviewer stated, but not a deal-killer. I felt like they sounded just like the stock pups, but without the buzz. They also had a slight warm edge when you cut into them.
I'm trying different amps now, but basically always play through a Fender Princeton 112 solid state amp. Perfectly noiseless. Also play through a DigiTech RP-7 sometimes, nice to be free of hum.
Got just what I was looking for and at a great price.
I will give a 9 just cause I didn't compare them to anything else.

I am very satisfied and feel like I don't need to keep trying other pups unless they break. Would definitely look to buy these again if needed, but might investigate other options just to try them out. I didn't really look into anything else at the time I got these since they were just what I wanted.
Been playing 27 years, mostly classic/hard rock, had a few other cheap crap guitars but this strat I've had for 20 years.

Features
:
Pickup features: passive humbucking pickup in a strat size.
Impedence or other specs: I've been told 7.8K, but I never checked it out myself. I think it's lower.
Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: Fender Stratocaster
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: stock
Other pickups on guitar: stock neck and middle
Artists using this pickup: no idea
You musical style(s): hard rock, blues, metal
Reason for pickup change: I wanted a humbucker at the bridge, but I wanted to retain the strat sound.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: a little less than the stock Standard Strat pickups. I had to put it up CLOSE to the strings
Tone: Very bright, but that also might have something to do with it being in the bridge position of a strat. Sounds 50s-ish to me.
Sonic evaluation: With a Fender Strat and a Marshall VS100, this pickup has a good punch and clarity to it. It sparkles with all the vintage glory. I just wish it was a little louder.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: This pickup would probably be good in any position, as long as you can put it up close to the strings.
Overall Rating
:
8
Comments: I only wish it was louder.
